A rumor traveled the circles of the supernatural. Mutants heard a safe, underground railroad was being started, inquire at the Summit. The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

Now normally Ray Morino would not waltz about a town in full super powered regalia, but this was the big apple surely the peons would be used to the vision of a super powered being among them. While he did get some head turning, the black and white suited man slipped through the crowds easy enough. As he walked along the side walk he would weave betwixt the throng of humans, all of whom milled about in a seemingly pointless(to Hiim) manner. Every so often he would find his feet stopped, and would simply disappear from that spot. One such instance was on a cross walk, the do not walk sign had flashed a brilliant orange and Ray followed suit by flashing from one side of the street to the other before the sign could blink again. It afforded him a few inhalations of breath, and shocked garbled words however he did not do it for show, no for some odd reason he felt like there was a place to be all of a sudden. Hiim would be rather damned if he let something exciting happen without himself being in the middle of it.

Life in the Fast Lane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyMon May 28, 2012 7:40 pm

The entity known as Nameless was nestled comfortably in the body of the security guard he had possessed. He blended in with the crowd just fine. Of course even if he didn't he was sure it would not matter. This was New York and the hustle and bustle of the lifestyle here would never change. It was fast paced, the people were often rood, and the streets were crowded. But what Nameless loved about New York was that people minded their own damn business. So he could get away with murder and he often did. The illumination of the bright sun made him squint a but as he pulled his security had down to block the sun. Digits from the pale skinned hand would unbutton the top collar of the surprisingly tough linen top that exposed the upper half of his white undershirt. He was perspiring horribly and his head was throbbing more or less the side effects that came with the possession. He had however finally gotten used to the body. Although the man was a doughnut shy of obesity and obviously never heard of a push-up.

As he walked through the crowd of meat sacks he would brush the shoulder of a man in a black and white suit. I guess he was one of those specials who didn't keep his powers a secret. Intrigued if nothing else his trigger and index finger would make a subtle movement to his right temple as if to massage a headache. However he was still new to his telepathic abilities and this exercise for now helped him to focus a bit better. He would begin to pick up the man's surface thoughts but didn't bother to probe any deeper. A grin would cross his face as he did an about face type turn, minus the military precision so that he would follow loosely behind the man. He was a teleporter a fact that he picked up from the man's brain so it was no surprise when the man would instantly disappear and then reappear again. He still stuck with the masses blending in with the crowd there was no need to do anything supernatural. Well not yet anyways.....

PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyMon May 28, 2012 8:01 pm

Yukina yawned a bit as she walked through the crowded streets, people bumping into the aristocrat and not even saying anything, and she assumed this was simply the nature of the city itself. She noticed other people getting bumped into and simply ignored it, because trying to get so many apologies would simply be a waste of time and energy. As she was walking around, she noticed something very interesting, and that was a man in a black and white suit. Of course it was her first day here and she already saw a costumed person, so of course she sort of tailed him to see what he could do, and soon he would show it. He simply disappeared and reappeared, showing signs of teleportation, which was interesting for sure. She was waiting for the moment where she would meet another person with strong abilities, and it was extremely soon. She was a bit overjoyed, but wasn't sure as to how to get the man's attention, but she figured out a way to, and it was a good chance to test her abilities, and see his.

She darted down an alleyway, and then found the concrete, which was a stone alloy of sorts, and so she could manipulate it. She found an alleyway that the man would simply walk by, and then created a 5 foot tall statue out of stone, that had it's hands cupped, almost in prayer. The statue resembled an angel, although the fingers had very sharp nails for slashing. Once the stature made "eye" contact with the man with the white and black suit, it would chase him down, but only if he wasn't looking directly at it. Yukina had to dart out of the alleyway the same way she entered, and turn the corner to find the costumed individual again. She spotted him, and the current route he would take would have him targeted by his angel.

Ray Morino was no telepath, and if Blink the symbiote noticed anything he certainly did'nt let his other half in on it. As such the man continued walking along on the grey, dull side walks. The cracks in the concrete were reminiscent of the imperfections the society of today held, the tiny little cracks that spiced life up like some sugar on a fruit.

Inside his head like a broken radio he would repeat a song over and over.
'Oooooooooh once upon a tale of a tail, to sea set sea sail shall we. How a fish and a fisher and all of his friends, drown upon a beach.'

Of course there were also flashes of anger, due to the fact that the thing was wedged firmly in there until he passed by an alley. There was a bit of movement, and well something was not human. In a flash he was there leaning up against the left side of the statue in a nonchalant manner. Of course he was already too late to see who created such art in a place where he expected only spray paint, and of course the statue moved towards him. This forced Hiim's head back to regard the statue he was up until two seconds ago, leaning on. So naturally now it was not moving, with a shake of his head he teleported up to a third story awning where he perched like a bird and regarded the crowd below. So far nothing was striking him as odd, and while he searched the statue would no doubt attempt to climb the sheer face of brick that was the loft in which Hiim perched now.

The statue was an annoyance, quite safely put and so with the snap of his fingers an arc of electricity shot out from a powerline and blasted into the concrete, destabilizing the cells and if it hit it would surely blast the creature apart. Hiim had re-routed enough electricity to power a city block into the attack after all, and well how could a construct of concrete dodge a bolt of electricity from behind while so focused? Regardless, Ray would move again this time back to a regular walk in the crowd hoping his hunter would try something that he could be caught in the act of.

Nameless would watch as construct came into the picture. It seems he was not the only one interested in seeing what this man was about. The mass of people had been reduced dramatically so he opened the floodgates to his mind so to speak and dozens of voices came rushing in from the area. Again his index and middle finger went to his temple so he could filter through the surface thoughts of each person there. It took a a bit of effort but he was able to pinpoint who had made the statue of concrete. With a single thought and a push of the mind the straggled followers would begin to fall asleep instantly. It was as if each person had caught a case of narcolepsy merely falling where they stood. He smiled guessing it was his turn now as the security guard would begin ripping his top off. Each button popping off of the uniform savagely before his eyes would glow red and he would begin to vomit a black liquid. The pool of black liquid would begin to form into a humanoid figure. A large man standing at 7ft tall dawning a black suit. His mental effect was only for the weak minded so he was sure the super would still be standing. He would gaze her way moving forward toward her when he heard a zap of of lightning. It was then he stopped and looked up toward the sound. He still however had the mental channel open with the woman just in case it entered her mind to try something cute.

Life in the Fast Lane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyTue May 29, 2012 9:19 pm

It seemed that there was another person watching the man who just shot lightning at the concrete structure, which splintered it to pieces, but then there was an exposed powerline there, and she had to be wary of that, since it seemed this man could control electricity along with being able to teleport places. This man was a strange one, having two separate abilities that didn't seem to connect to each other, but then again, Yukina also had 2 powers that were sort of related, but not quite. As she watched the man blast the statue to pieces after scaling the building, it seemed that the big show was over, and it was fairly anti-climactic. Just when Yukina was done with her information gathering, suddenly a bunch of people around him suddenly started to drowse off, and then fell asleep. This was strange, did he also have mass hypnosis? Yukina mulled this over in her head before she noticed some sort of oozing black liquid come up and form into a humanoid creature. It was sort of walking towards her before the lightning struck, but she didn't really notice until just now. She wondered what the person was, and it seemed that the thing was more masculine, but it didn't quite look human. Yukina decided to simply be guarded towards this new person, while slowly shifting her position so that she could see the teleportation person as well. He didn't seem to sleep either, meaning one of them, she assumed the black ooze guy, could put weak minded or non-supernatural people to sleep. She did, however, wave nonchalantly at the ooze man in a playful manner, even though her face was devoid of emotions.

PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyWed May 30, 2012 7:20 pm

He guessed the man's attention was hard to get so he would have to turn it up a notch. As he walked forward the man's shadow would not move. Instead it would begin to form spikes so that when he took that next step they would pierce his feet. Whether he stepped on them or stopped his attention would be gained. The spikes regardless of the outcome would would extend into long razor sharp tentacles that would begin to follow the man. The artificial shadows he created was on all sides of the man in the black and white suit. The tentacles would beginning to divide and weave like black strings of razor forming a tight weaving around the man. He was sure the man would try and teleport but if he did he had something to convince him otherwise. He would slowly walk towards the man's location giving his back to the woman as he had quite a few things he wished to discuss. There were certain things he needed done that one with the man's skill sets could help him accomplish. When he made it to his destination he would give a polite nod. His voice was distinct as he spoke. It was as if several voices of different pitch all spoke at once. "Comfortable I take it?" he said as a column of Darkforce would begin to elevate him into the air. "we have much to discuss...you and I"

Life in the Fast Lane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyThu May 31, 2012 1:04 am

It seemed that the man that put everyone else to sleep had some other interesting powers as well, and it seemed that he could control shadows or darkness, considering he tried to harm the man with his own shadow. So, it seemed like there would be some sort of fight or something, and Yukina wanted to play too. There was lightning, teleportation, hypnosis, darkness, all these sorts of things and she only displayed that she could create statues. Well, it was time for something to happen, and I guess the man in the suit was attacked enough, and it was the other man's turn. He would probably read her mind, although she didn't know that, when she made two giant stone hands come up from the sides and try to squish the man as he was rising up from his shadow thingy. "I want to play too." Yukina said in a monotoned and almost bored tone as she made this action happen. She thought about using her earth powers more, as she didn't use it quite enough as she should, especially since she guessed it didn't matter that super ran around in the city very much. The regular humans should be really scared since they can easily be killed by these people, but then there were the heroes and villains aspect to the city, which was fun as well.

PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyThu May 31, 2012 9:40 am

The shadowy tendrils would spring around him, forcing their attention back at the man. That is when he noticed the female behind him, the one who had sent that nasty golem after him. At first he thought it would be the man but as two giant hands of stone began to rise, Hiim cocked his left arm back. Inside his left palm was a bomb pellet, he threw it then but of course he was no longer inside the shadow tendrils. They were behind and to the left of the girl by four feet, and two feet. After throwing the first he cocked back his arm, flashing to above her he would release before teleporting to a rooftop opposite of the action and peering down below at the two.

"Brother, before you speak with us, allow us to bring you elsewhere" the voices of Blink and Ray blended into one unlike the distinct differences in the other man's voice. You see the symbiote had no intentions of holding a meeting with someone violent about. Then again he supposed he would have to put this villain down before she hurt any of the sleeping humans which were scattered about like some child's jacks. In any case he would await them both, hoping this would end soon. After all he didn't have his wheeties today so he wasn't feeling like a champion.

"Bitch..." would be his response to the hands coming up to crush him. The column that had been lifting him up would collapse below his feet just as the hands rose up and he would fall as it seemed the shadows would catch him before he hit the ground as he looked up he could see the man in the white suit had thrown something above him. The females shadow would begin to multiply into replicates that surrounded her until they were a mass below her feet quickly. The shadows would form a large circle that stretched about 45 to 50 yards giving her a lot of ground to cover to escape. They would then turn into a pool of black adhesive like liquid. It was at this time that his own personal shadow construct would hover him closely above the area of the girl (30ft) and a stream of black mist began to pour from his body into the area slowly. Soon it would be completely dark and it would be his dominion. He was sadistic by nature so he would only toy with his prey for now. Though depending on hos she responded he would kick it up a notch.

PostSubject: Re: Life in the Fast Lane   Life in the Fast Lane EmptyThu May 31, 2012 9:30 pm

Yukina was a bit saddened at the response to her trying to squish the black gooey one. She thought for sure it would be fun to see him reform, but instead, the two freaked out and stuff happened. She had to defend against whatever the person who could teleport was going to throw, because it seemed more dangerous than the other guy who could put people to sleep. She tapped her foot, and then a brick shot up and contacted the pellet, blowing it up. Usually the earthen shrapnel from the blast would still hurt her, but she had dominion over it, so she simply stood still. Then, her shadow started acting funny, and she realized the other person was controlling it. "Hey, I didn't know there were teams, I need a team mate guys." The same monotoned voice came about, and this was a rather silly thing to say, but she simply wanted to have fun, and two on one wasn't very fun, especially to these strange costumed people. She decided to wave to the shadow guy before he started pumping out all the mists, and she decided that she would simply start talking as if they weren't fighting. "I'm Yukina, and I was looking for super people to play with." She simply stood still on the shadow, it didn't seem to want to harm her, simply prevent her from running around and causing a ruckus.

(Calling my second attack as a hit)

The second blast hit home and would knock Yukina into the shadowy mass below her, Hiim could not guess the injuries but it was a decent size explosion. Hopefully now she would be considered subdued, but the symbiote was cautious. Of course she had received the blast before she had spoken so Hiim would still wait across the street, perched atop the building posing like a gargoyle.

He would simply look on not really caring what happened. He was done here. His interest had left and so would he. He would give a small gesture with his hands signaling it was time to bid them a farewell. He would himself walk into the shadowy adhesive that held the woman in place but instead he seemed to slink into the shadow disappearing from site.

Yukina didn't even notice the teleporty man appear above her and drop another little pellet thing, so she had only a fraction of a second to cause the dust in the air to slightly solidify, except she didn't quite get it off in time. She was knocked down into the goopey stuff, face up thankfully, and simply looked into the sky. "That one looks like cheese." She said, looking towards a particular cloud. She then started moving her hands through the shadow, which seemed to fade, as she made the shape of an angel, as one did in the snow. She was a bit bored, and she felt that she needed to leave after the shadow man, especially after his shadow faded and she couldn't see the angel she had made. "Was fun." She said, before sinking into the ground. She would then drift her body through the earth towards her apartment, as if she was a boat on the sea.
