Final Goodbye [Kira Topic]

The Macreedy family had received the phone call detailing Kira's condition in the hospital. Now this came as a surprise, seeing how they had buried Kira when she had fallen by the hands of the Sinister Six that fateful night. The family chose to travel there together, even though Tara could have made it to New Orleans in under two seconds alone. However, she wasn't the best person when it came to lost. It was almost as though she had a poison touch, when it came to those she got involved with. From her parents, to Kira, those close to her usually died. Was the same going to happen to the Macreedy family? She stood outside the hospital room where the doctor spoke to her about the female's condition. Apparently it was permanent brain damage. Her first thought was finding Nameless. Maybe his telepathy could change her fate! That was just the first thought that ran through the speedsters accelerated mind. But when she walked into the room to see the damage done to Kira, and all the machines hooked up to keep her alive, she couldn't help but turn away. Mr. Macreedy would put a hand on the girl's shoulder as reassurance, while May stood towards the corner of the room with her arms crossed over her chest and eyes narrowed. If she wasn't so weak she could have helped. Mrs. Macreedy stood by her daughter, as the doctor once again entered the area. The family had a choice of pulling the plug, or attempting to keep her alive, even though she would never recover. Her eyes were completely boiled out, and she was nothing but a shell of her former self. Gareth would look towards Tara with stern blue eyes. "Tara, the choice is yours. Sometimes you need to let what you love the most, go. It'll be hard, but sometimes you need to be selfless for the sake of others." Tara looked up towards her father and nodded. The Doctor would also give a final nod, as he left the room so the family could have their final goodbyes.

Walking over Kira's bed, Tara would take the woman's hand in her own. The family would back towards the doorway of the room simply watching. Slowly, the blonde would lean down to place one final kiss on Kira's lips as her body would burst into cosmic flames. The flames were controlled, and didn't burn anything other than Kira's body. The talon's that stretched out from the purifying flames would be focused on Kira's body alone, as she would begin to burn. However, the burning only lasted a second before the woman was gone. There were no byproducts or ashes left. It was almost as though she never existed. Before this, Tara's father made sure to block off the cameras from view, simply for privacy. Mrs. Macreedy and May would also help with this, as they knew their family member valued her secret identity, and that this was a one in a life time moment.

When it was finally done, Tara would simply have a hand on the sheet cover that Kira previously slept upon. When Kira's life had officially ended, there would be a choice of where to go. And instead of being drug to the underworld where most souls go, she would be bathed in light. For attempting to protect those, being the Macreedys, and dying a selfless death. Her soul would be carried into Valhalla. Her soul would live on in the higher planes. Maybe on an off chance, Tara would meet her again in the after life.
