"Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant. There is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks."Johann Gottfried Von Herder (School's most referred to quote) - art by ~Angelus~Tenebrae
Located in the capital of the country of Malta in the Mediterranean sea, the Institute is headed by one Professor Kagan who is one of the foremost researchers into the mutant gene. The Institute's mission is the development of mutant's powers and their ability to control it. Formal attire is the dress code for the school on the pretense that it is a private school for the rich.
The Professor
Professor Kagan is a mutant who researches the mutant gene. He is a kind man who accepts students who wish to learn more about their capabilities as family. However, his kindness can become strained when dealing with those who wish to do harm to those of his school. His power generated from being a mutant is
Enhanced Mentorship giving him the ability to understand complex powers and help the student learn to control them precisely. This is simply one ability his power allows him to achieve.
Enrollment
Though the school is primarily for mutants; experiments, otherworldly, and deity touched beings may also join if they wish to learn more about themselves and how to control their powers. However, they do not get the same benefits as a mutant who joins. Those enrolled live on campus and have free use of the school's utilities.
To enroll at the school, one would only need to post in the school's forum with their character's name as the title, then the tag [Enrollment]. So for example, if my character, Tara Strong, was to wish to enroll. I would make a topic called "Tara Strong [Enrollment]" and would include my arrival onto the school grounds with my character. From there, a staff member will roleplay as the Professor and welcome you to the school, and get you situated. It's a simple and clean introduction to the school to get you acquainted with the leader, and what they do there.
!!!!! For those who are not mutants, to enroll they must be recruited by a mutant that attends the school. They will post in your enrollment topic, and bring you to meet the professor. Remember this school is primarily for mutants, so this is not an option. If you show up without a mutant representative you will be turned away or seen as hostile. !!!!!
The Benefits
Mutants that enroll and roleplay on the school grounds will have a 10% boost in prestige gain for topics submitted in the prestige section. This emphasizes on a quicker growth for mutants, as the school's purpose is to not only understand mutants, but help them control the powers they are growing into.
This is only for mutantsAbilities/Weapons/Skills/etc trained or purchased by a mutant who enrolls at the school will have a 10% reduction on word count or cost.
This is only for mutantsSchool Events
There will be school events that will allow for prestige awards for the students. These events can range from simple field day activities to danger room missions that will call for teamwork and coordination. Danger Room missions can only be done by students enrolled at the university for obvious reasons. Though primarily staff will make events for the members of the school, members of the Institute can also create events for themselves and their fellow students.
