Rings created on a dying star plagued by war and madness. Though unmarked on Earth's universal maps, this star has full knowledge of the planet. Few have visited the star and left it the same way as they arrived. The stench of death plagues the dark planet and corrupts those that are foolish enough to venture into its miasma without proper protection. On this planet "lives" the personification of death throughout the universe. It is the looming feeling one gets. The cold shiver down their spine. Every fear. Every worry. Every chaotic nature. All personified into this enigma. And with this enigma's presence in the universe, comes the realization of death, and the fear and madness it brings into the spectrum. This being created powerful rings with its very essence to send across the universe and spread the inevitability of death. Only a certain few could wield such rings, yet once they did, they became one with this entity and used its power on their behalf. What this enigma of death wants is truly unknown. Perhaps it wants to remind the universe that all must come to an end. Those who understand this concept, and wield the ring, are usually driven mad which makes it more attracted to those who have already passed that barrier.

The Dark Star ring has the ability to create pure constructs powered by death and madness. The ring also has the ability to generate protective aura and allow the user to fly if the ring is on. (They are lifting themselves after coating themselves in a construct) Flight speed- C-150mph B- 300mph A-600mph S-1,200mph. The ring feeds on the madness and killing intent of the user, and causes non enhanced mother nature around the user to die. The ring's sole ability is creating black constructs. The ring, being created among the stars, also allows the user to breath in outer space and translate alien language into human language: as death and madness does not differentiate between races. If the user consumes fresh flesh of a living being with the black star ring active, they will heal up to their rank (following the branching list) There is a limit at each rank of how many constructs the user can create. (C-20 B-40 A-60 S-80). Each time the user reaches their rank of how many constructs they can make they must recharge the ring. The ring also chooses who becomes its owner: it picks the people who embrace the reality of death, are completely insane, and wish to spread their madness. Only those with insanity in their repertoire can bear these rings, and the moment they wear it they have a mind link with the enigma itself. Those who are otherwise good, sane, and have an otherwise pleasant personality without tragedy in their past, will not be able to wear the ring. If they attempt to wear the ring, they will be repelled completely. Only 3 rings exist on earth itself, each hidden and only another power ring can locate it. Supers can wear this ring just like humans but it takes up one power slot for them as the ring has the power of madness and death based constructions. Those who wear the rings have their current attire turned to black, with the symbol of the ring over their chest. Even their skin and body appear decayed, as if they were walking zombies. Finally, the ring has a passive ability of locating those who have felt the embrace of death once before. NOTE* The main battery to this ring is madness and death. If the user is not insane and hasn't taken a life, the ring won't work. If their insanity is somehow removed/cured (not going into details there) their constructs will become a rank weaker than what they currently are. Otherwise, the ring's constructs follow the same guidelines as those that main in shield creation.

Once the ring reaches B rank, the user may turn in a sub power slot and unlock its Necromancy abilities. This allows the ring to reanimate the dead, and bring them back as flesh craving zombies without a soul. There is a limit to how many zombies can be formed, going by rank. Once the number has been used up, the ring must be recharged. (C-20 B-40 A-60 S-80) To animate the corpse, one would only need to point the ring at the remains and utter the word "Rise." The zombie is controlled by the user, but still follows common instinct whenever the user is not controlling them manually. They have all the weaknesses of a modern zombie, such as blunt trauma to the skull. If a zombie had any super powers in their previous life, it is lost. However, minimal skills remain.

*Insanity means your character no longer follows logic nor can pretend to be sane even in masses. They have no morals, nor goals, nor massive plans. They have difficulty working with others, and may even kill their own if given the chance. This is watched closely.

Item Description: An all black normal sized lantern with a circle in the middle that displays the center of the lantern that holds the core to charge the black power rings

Item Power: The lantern has the power to recharge the black star rings. The oath of the black lantern corps must be spoken at the lantern for it to charge the ring. The Charge of the ring takes two post, one saying the oath and the other stating the ring is charging. The Oath is as follows:

"The Blackest Star falls from the skies,
The darkness reaps as all light dies,
We crave your life and your demise,
By my black heart, the dead shall rise!"

Flaw Name: Dead Man Walking
Flaw Type: Prolonged Use Flaw
Flaw Description: The user possesses great skill and power, but prolonged usage of it may come at a cost. Overuse or misuse of said power may result in, among other things, insanity and physical damage to the user's body. This means that the user can only use their abilities 5/7/10/15 posts (consecutive or not) before negative effects occur to the body. The negative effects cannot be counter acted and should greatly hinder the user. Once putting on the ring, the user has a strict time limit it can be used within. Once it is placed on the finger, it can not be removed to counteract this flaw, unless someone (PC) is killed (Death frees the user from its bind) or the user successfully leaves the topic before running out of posts. But if they wear this ring for too long without following the previous two ways to relieve the stress of wearing the Black Star ring, the character's own life force will be sucked into the ring, lowering their strength, speed, agility, and over all stats by 75% across the boards.
