Senator Hines has revealed how mutants will be handled: Sentinels.
A rumor traveled the circles of the supernatural. Mutants heard a safe, underground railroad was being started, inquire at the Summit. The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

| Merri Skyler "A suave cocktail of Muscle and Mind. Ooh, I like it!"
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Meredith "Merri" Skyler Aliases: None, at the moment Gender: Female Age: 19 Birth Date: 1st June Class: Blessed
Appearance: Merri stands at five feet on the dot, and weighs about 59 kilograms. Her hair, which is silver blonde, is long, somewhat straight and falls unrestrained to a little way beyond the small of her back. A myriad of stray locks hang over her forehead, dropping to her eyes, though one or two wisps of hair may reach her small nose. She has bright violet eyes set beneath slightly arched eyebrows and a small mouth, with naturally pink lips. She has a petite build (with a distinct hourglass shape), albeit with long legs, and she is described usually as having the curves in the right places.
Merri likes to dress simply, often opting for a simple T-shirt or A-shirt that leaves a sliver of her belly exposed, denim pants and sneakers. She also wears high heeled shoes, preferably boots, just to make her look taller. Merri may wear skirts occasionally, though they tend to be on the short side. When wearing an A-shirt, she usually wears a jacket, preferably of similar material as her pants. In the way of accessories, she always wears a single golden bangle on her right wrist and a simple gold chain necklace.
Personality: Merri is kind of the happy-go-lucky girl, usually with a smile on her face. She also tends to be rather flighty and distracted, and as such, many people assume that she is not very smart. With all the cheerful behavior, however, she is a little shy when around people she just meets for the first time. Nonetheless, she is always quite warm and friendly, even to strangers, and she has a goofy sense of humor. Due to her living alone for a while now, Merri is quite independent, and likes to feel she can always take care of herself.
She may act like she is not very responsible, but when it matters, Merri has a keen sense of duty and knows when to get serious. She believes she has an obligation to aid those in trouble, and feels that her powers are a gift to uphold truth and goodness. Yeah, besides the corny bright colored spandex, and the corny catchphrases, Merri would fit a textbook superhero... besides her violent streak.
Violence? Yes. Proud of her innate powers, Merri kind of likes physical conflict, and will never willingly shy away from a battle, unless she is forced to do so by external factors, or she feels she might get killed (in which case she will berate herself for being a coward). She likes one-on-one fair fights, and is usually offended if someone else should attempt to assist her (thus tipping the odds in her favor). If fighting a handicapped battle, she will still try her best with nary a complaint. She tends to have a sarcastic edge in battle, and usually deals out witty 'one-liners', especially in reaction to her opponent's statements. She believes that's one way of managing stress. Interestingly, she holds life (especially human) as sacred, and will not willingly endanger anyone. If the creature is not human, she will only kill as a last resort.
Concerning her friends and allies, Merri is very supportive and will always try to help out, as long as they're on the right side of the law. And speaking of the law, she's not that 'lawful', because she's not below breaking smaller laws as long as lives are saved and she achieves her usually selfless objectives (for example, she may break a friend out of jail if they're in danger there, and she's sure they're innocent). She doesn't take to being betrayed very well, and will not easily forgive anyone who breaks her heart.
In the way of trivia, Merri likes most foods that are sweet and spicy, she hates boiled fish. Her greatest fear is to lose her powers. Her affinity to combat stems from her sharing DNA with a Norse deity (and the Norse deities were rather warlike).

The Capability
|
Rank: C
Specialties:
—Main Specialty: Physical Prowess —Sub Specialty: Projection
Powers:
—Main Power: Telepathy: Merri can be described as a clone of the Norse goddess, Vör, associated with wisdom. Described as "wise and inquiring, so that nothing can be concealed from her," Vör had the ability to discern thoughts and probe minds through telepathy. Merri, while not as powerful as the goddess (due to her mixed blood) and cannot control people like puppets by taking over their minds, still has the ability to read, as well as affect minds to a frightening degree.
—Main Power: Advanced Strength: Kind of explanatory; Meredith possesses an uncanny level of superhuman strength, enough to dwarf the average human's by a serious degree..
—Sub Power:(Leave Blank Until B-Level)
—Sub Power:(Leave Blank Until A-Level)
Abilities:
- Spoiler:
—Name: Mind Probe —Rank: C-S (Currently C-Rank) —Power: Telepathy —Description: The signature quality of the usual telepath. Merri has the ability to sift through the thoughts of others, and as a result, can draw out information from living organisms. She can also remotely locate a target with her mind (she calls this scrying). At C-rank, this ability allows her to sense only the emotions (infatuation, aversion, distrust, discomfort, fear, etc.) of one person just by looking at them. She can read the mind of another person, but only through prolonged contact and serious concentration, and there is chance for the target to mentally resist, unless they are unconscious. Scrying is impossible at this level. At B-rank, she can sense emotions of people in a little group, although with some concentration. It is much harder to resist her mind probing while she maintains contact, and she requires less time and concentration (she can talk with others while probing, for example). She also is able to mentally locate one target, but with effort and stress. The farther away the target, the longer the time. Beyond the size of a state, her powers fail. At A-rank, Merri can read emotions of a crowd instinctively without thinking about it, and has the ability to probe minds thoroughly with the touch of a finger. While she can remotely read a mind, she requires a little concentration to do so. She can also scry for multiple targets with some effort, and her powers can cover a large landmass (continent). At S-rank, Merri can probe minds perfectly without any form of contact, although she must be able to physically see the person to do so. It is very difficult to resist her probing, and the target may even be unaware of her prying. She has no difficulty scrying, and her powers can span across an entire planet. However, targets in a different dimension, timeline or deep space cannot be located by her powers.
—Name: Superhuman Strength —Rank: C-S (Currently C-Rank) —Power: Asgardian Physiology- Advanced Strength —Description: Any character gifted with Super Strength has the natural ability to interact with objects that many normal humans would not be able to, because of the objects' weight. Like any individual, they too increase in their strength. C - 2,000lbs B - 3,500lbs A - 6,000lbs S - 8,000lbs
Skills:
—Name: Sixth Sense —Specialty: Projection/Telepathy —Rank: C-S (Currently C-Rank) —Description: This endows a character with the uncanny ability to sense danger right before it happens. As a result, the reflexes of the body are primed much quicker than normal, and before the danger strikes, giving the character a chance to evade or defend against it. Hidden or invisible enemies can be sensed, but that does not mean that the character will know where and what they are (the character can deduce, however, from where the attack came, but cannot follow the assailant, should they relocate). It is not possible for this ability to offer precognition in any way. Combat reflexes are increased by 10%.

The Background
|
History:
- Spoiler:
This story starts not at the birth of a little girl child, but goes back in time, to places when history was blurred and 'ancient' was 'current events'. The story began in the Asgardian world long ago, when Heimdall sounded the horn to rouse the Asgardians for the epic battle of Ragnarok. As this tale does not concern the battles that occurred, these battles shall not be dwelt upon. It is sufficient to note, however, that Ragnarok brought about the death of life, save a select few that would awaken in time to repopulate the worlds of gods and men. For in essence, Ragnarok was but the catalyst of a reincarnation process, wherein the world would be formed anew and life would florish again. And the acts of mortal and divine would pave the way for another Ragnarok...
In the last Ragnarok that happened, when the gods died, and Surtr the Muspel engulfed the world in fire, the goddess of wisdom, Vör, was slain along with the rest of her kin. A copious quantity of her blood had been shed upon the cold ice that had been caused by Fimbulwinter, and this blood was frozen solid and preserved. Escaping the conflagration of Surtr, the frozen blood, encased in a thick block of ice, sank beneath the waters that engulfed the earth.
After life returned to the earth, seasons came and went, civilizations grew and fell, and the time of technology came upon the earth. It was in this time, our time, that a group of scientists at the North Pole discovered what appeared to be some protein compounds preserved in ice. Believing that this might be a missing link with the age of Ice, or early man, or dinosaurs even, the scientists took the samples back to the labs in Quebec, Canada, and discovered, to their excitement, that the proteins contained DNA samples that were still intact. After some consideration, they decided to see whether they could clone the creature from which the sample came. Since it was almost identical to human DNA, the scientists introduced a strand of it to a human egg and placed it in an incubator. To their delight, the cells began to divide and undergo all the biological processes that would give rise to a foetus. They expected to breed some sort of Neanderthal, as their carbon dating equipments estimated the date of the sample to be more than many millennia old. Disappointingly, the foetus showed no abnormalities, and the scientists began to wonder whether their equipment had been wrong. Although most of them lost desire in the 'project', they still decided to let the child be 'born', since they were unwilling to 'abort' the baby. In about nine months, the test tube baby was born. The foremost of the scientists, who was well-to-do, but had no children, had since shown interest in raising the baby as his own. Thus was the child adopted from the labs, and he gave her the name Meredith.
Merri seemed to be normal (besides her violet eyes), until she was around five, when she started demonstrating intermittent strength levels that were a little bit abnormal for a girl her age. While her father's scientific mind considered this as something to be explored, he, as well as his wife, had become too attached to Merri to treat her like a guinea pig. Perhaps she was a mutant; that wasn't too strange, and they decided they could live with that. And thus she grew into her teenage years, no one aware that she bore Asgardian blood in her veins.
When she was fourteen, it came to the notice of one of her father's colleagues (who was in league with a crime lord) that the girl possessed uncanny powers. This scientist approached Merri's father with a proposition: all he wanted was some blood samples for further "research". Sensing an ulterior motive, and unwilling to expose his daughter to experiments that he was not sure of, he sent her to America to live with a brother of his (who was also wealthy, but distant) to keep her out of harm's way. Unfortunately, she was abducted and brought back to Canada by the cronies of the crime lord. There, she discovered that her mother had also been taken hostage, and the criminals were trying to force her father to perform experiments on her, as he was the most talented in that field, and had some experience that was lacking in the other scientists, not to mention that it was his labs they were using. It would seem that they wished to create some form of steroid from her body that would enhance human capabilities. Her mother, even in torture, appealed to her father not to harm his daughter. The tormentor, in a bid to break her mother's will, made a mistake that caused her mother her life. Irate with grief and anger, Merri's father suddenly attacked one of his captors, leading to damage of the computer systems that sealed off the entire labs. Unable to control him, one of the crime boss' agents shot her father.
The trauma of that day's events suddenly kicked her powers into motion. Merri tore through her bonds and went on a rampage. This led to a fire outbreak that threatened to destroy the entire complex, with everyone in it, as the complex had many stores of propane and other combustibles. In order to subdue her, she was fired upon. Superhuman strength is not the same as invulnerability, and the bullet dug into her shoulder. The pain was enough to render her unconscious.
She awoke about two days later in a hospital. There, she discovered that her father had not been initially killed by the bullet, and while pandemonium reigned in the complex due to the fire outbreak, her father had dragged her to safety through an escape hatch. He was unable to get far with her because of his injuries, but the sealed areas of the complex bore the brunt of the explosion, killing almost everyone else. The crime boss had met his demise there as well, and so she would have no troubles with him in the future. Merri was overjoyed to discover that her father still lived, though the joy quickly faded when she was told that he wasn't going to make it. She requested to see him, so they took her to him.
Her father tried to tell her the origins of her life, though that was not sufficient to answer all her questions, and he passed away soon after. The next few months were a blur of lawyers and court cases, but the bottom line was that she had inherited her father's estate (which was sufficient to last her a lifetime, provided she was not profligate), but had to live with his closest relative (which was his brother) until she was of age. Thus, she moved back to America and stayed with him. While her uncle made sure that she did not lack anything, his aloof nature and engrossment in his work somewhat put her off.
On reaching eighteen, Merri decided to live by herself (it wasn't much different living with her uncle). Fortunately for her, her father had owned a comfy little house there in the States, and so that was where she stayed. Currently, she attends college, and whenever and wherever she can, tries to use her blossoming powers to help others... and herself.
Little is she aware, though, that she may be watched by others... others who may be considered in a way as her kin....

| There aren't really a lot of active telepaths and you have a broken version so I will let you have it. - Quote :
- —Name: Superhuman Strength
—Rank: C-S (Currently C-Rank) —Power: Asgardian Physiology- Advanced Strength —Description: Any character gifted with Super Strength has the natural ability to interact with objects that many normal humans would not be able to, because of the objects' weight. So Enhanced strength would be at a branched level. Note* make sure you clarify that sixth sense cannot be used as any type of precognition even to a limited degree it just offers a slight increase in reflexes.

| Okay, edited-ish...
Lemme ask, though. Does removing the 'Asgardian Physiology' and replacing it with just 'Advanced Strength' (like I just did) permit me to have strength as a main power? I weally want it.
