The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

Appearance: Perhaps this is one female you'd see at a cosplay convention; the body of an 18 or 19 year old woman in a dark-but-stylish set of wizard garb. Untrue, as this 15 millenia being is eternal and has set her form indefinitely to the light frame of a female teen. She has remarkable purple hair, short for a girl but long for a boy. It is usually covered by a purple hood of a lighter shade, detailed with small luminescent blue runes. Her eyes follow the theme, being violet in color. She has a small Celestial nose and small lips that aren't always the most expressive. Around her neck is a purple scarf that is allowed to flow down to the back of her knees when standing straight up; it is covered in a larger type of the same runes found on her hood, which normally are just a simple blue. She isn't too shy in her choice of tops, as she wears only a black bra adorned with an aquamarine gem eye in the center, and an open-chest purple vest made of a dark denim and covered with the same lightning-esque runes as the scarf and hood. She wears more purple cloth around her waist like a belt, also covered in runes. For bottoms, Zayra wears black baggy sweatpants that are tied down at the waist and the ankles, but surprisingly these are not covered in runes. Lastly, Zayra adorns a pair of gauntlets and boots to complete the outfit.

Note that when Zayra uses her abilities the blue runes glow a radiant light blue, along with her eyes which glow the brightest.

Personality: Zayra has a calm, serious, aloof, and detached personality. She is incorruptible after living for so long and solidifying her ideals and fate in the void. To have such a powerful mind and such an ingrained background is a power in itself, as she is in complete control of herself. All these things make Zayra who she is:

- Calm: Zayra is unwavering in her ability to stay cool, calm, and collected. She feels rage, she feels sadness, and she feels any other extreme emotion like a human being would. The difference is Zayra's age, having granted her the power of control. It is improbable that there would ever be an experience that Zayra could take on and not manage with an impassive expression. That is not to say that if she is barred from showing these emotions; it merely tells that she is able to control her emotions if she desires. This often takes people off guard due to her appearance—it contrasts with her actual age, and any attempts to rouse Zayra are pitiful in her eyes. She looks down like a giant at an ant and shakes her head in disappointment.

- Serious: Try joking with a ten thousand year old entity, and try to get some results: Zayra keeps things at a professional level at all times, because she is just so distant from casualness, lightness, and humor. That being said, she understands humor, and understands when one is trying to be funny—if she wanted to she could join in with the comedics, but she prefers not to. Also consider her internal darkness, and her nature of a foreign realm, and it also explains why she strays from mingling too well with others. At the core Zayra is a down-to-earth straight-to-the-point kind of person. When she says she is going to kill you, she usually intends to.

- Inherently Evil: One does not live in the void for even a single year and not come out changed for the worse. Zayra originated in the Void, and lived there for over ten millenia as the darkness surrounded her and the power of the dimension was instilled in her. That being said, she is the master of the realm, and thus she can be considered pretty damn evil. She lacks the morals an earthborn human would have, lacks the care and concern a family could give her, and lacks the instinctual traits a human would have in their DNA. It is because of this that Zayra has chosen the path of darkness, losing mercy and losing nobility.

- Stuck Up: There are traits belonging to Zayra that are sheerly linked to her position as master of the Void. She is the equivalent of a Hegemon on Earth, in the Void, and so she is used to the role of leadership, or rather being in control of things. She thinks highly of herself and her abilities, even as she is still discovering and learning about them. There are times when she will defer, but it will not be to someone incompetent through her eyes.

Powers:

    Main Power: Master of the Void | The Void is a dimension entirely of itself, though not literally what its name implies. This place is not empty of substance or even life; rather, it is a terrible place with chaotic and unexplainable forces at work, and filled with creatures that belong in the nightmares of children. The Master of the Void is the one with the ability to manipulate the dimension, and serve as a medium of its contents to other places. The Master can open rifts to the void at will, allowing her to walk between the two dimensions, bring certain creatures from the dimension to her location, or abduct others into the Void inversely.

    Main Power: Telekinesis | "Tele", Greek word for distance, and "Kinesis", Greek word for motion. Telekinesis is the ability to move objects at a distance by mental power or other nonphysical means at its most basic definition. No contact is required, but rather the mind controls a spiritualistic medium that can in turn control other objects at distances far and wide. The strength of this ability comes from the sheer mental will of the user, and is not restricted by weight or other factors like physical strength would be. A true master of this ability can move large buildings, or send small objects moving at mach speeds with their gift. There are rules however, first one being that the object must somehow be visualized, and the second one being that the speed of the kinesis must be inversely proportionate to the mass of the object being moved.

    Name: Riftwalk
    Rank: C
    Power: Master of the Void
    Description: This was Zayra's first ability, essential to arrive onto the Planet Earth from the Void. This creates a rift between the Void and a target location, allowing Zayra to step through the threshold onto either side from the other before promptly closing it behind her. These rifts, unstable as they are, cannot last indefinitely anways, closing up after 5 posts. The size of the rift cannot exceed 10 feet in radius. In a way this can be used like teleportation, but it is not instantaneous and is also not entirely personal. What that last statement means is that since a rift is opened, others will be able to use it as well, though it is dangerous. If the rift closes on any object halfway between the two dimensions, that object will be pushed away from the void and into the other realm. The portal cannot be moved nor can it be created if any part of it is in contact with a solid.

    Power: Telekinesis
    Range: C - 25 meters | B - 50 meters | A - 150 meters | S - 500 meters
    Description: With focus on a single object, and basic use of Telekinesis, Zayra can use this ability to move that object with her mind. At C rank, Zayra can maintain up to 2,000 pounds at 3.3 mph (1000 Joules, maximum 200 mps), following the inversely proportionate rule for anything lighter. At B rank, she can maintain up to 5,000 pounds at 3 mph (2000 Joules, maximum 400 mps). At A rank, she can maintain up to 12,000 pounds at 3 mph (5000 Joules, maximum 600 mps). Finally at S rank, she can maintain up to 30,000 pounds at 2.7 mph (10000 Joules, maximum 800 mps). As long as the object being manipulated is half the maximum proportion for the rank of this technique, Zayra can manipulate different parts of the single object individually (such as limbs on a person). Due to balance, this cannot be used on Playable Characters

    Description: The ability to think fast, essentially. Zayra's thoughts process faster than normal, which in effect allows her to see time in slow motion. She considers things particularly methodical and analytical, as though any situation is like an equation that with enough thought can be solved. In battle she assesses threats in her slow-time thinking, and prioritizes actions to try and find the most efficient solution to the fight. None of this is perfected yet, as she does make mistakes and does not always find the most efficient solution. As experience comes, so will a more perfect thought process.



The Background


History:
- The Void Arc: The Void—it is a dimension of its own that has kept to its own since the cultivation of its existence. Despite its name, however, The Void is not an empty place. Rather, it is a timeless place home to monstrosities and unspeakable things, things you would find in the nightmares of mortal men. The inhabitants, too, are ageless, and intelligent. And the planes within this dimension are chaotic, filled with a tainted dark energy that warps the normal laws of physics. Gravity shifts haphazardly and disappears altogether on the occasion, while mutations occur within a split second as the dark energies manifest within the creatures. It is not habitable by entities outside this dimension, and best left to the Masters of the Void. These Masters are psychics of great caliber, using the power of the Void against itself to maintain themselves and maintain the dimension from collapsing on itself. They are established as the rulers of this terrible place, and rightly so.

For reasons beyond human understanding, the Masters had the desire to gain entrance to dimensions beyond their own. It had never been done before, but these Masters knew of sorcery both grand in magnitude and ingenuity. For millenia they spent their resources and powers on discovering a way out of this place, a single breeze from another land. This is where Zayra comes in, as the first Master to open a rift to another dimension, albeit minuscule and unstable, but a way nonetheless. Hell broke loose in The Void, as they sought Zayra's knowledge and power either through force or not. Wars were fought, catastrophes were unleashed, and monstrosities were crafted in wake of this discovery for the possession of Zayra and in turn her knowledge. The already-horrid conditions of the Void worsened, and the beings who were supposed to preserve the dimension were the ones who were now causing its destruction. Something had to be done.

- Grandmaster Zayra Arc: It would of course be Zayra who stepped up to stop the madness, but it was not a noble act; rather, it was a treacherous act. She needed an overwhelming force to initiate her plan, and she would start by enlisting the help of several other Masters of the Void, by promising the knowledge they sought if they assisted her in her own fight. Then, she used this force to at the very least break out of the reach of the other masters, suffering minimal casualties. After fleeing, she would trek the far reaches of the void where true nightmares originated, and work on conscripting them one by one. Each new beast she added to her collection improved her capability of forcing more into her army, as her force just grew and grew. The other masters were closing in on her tail, but it was becoming far too late. They were now chasing her into territory she had already studied and where a trap of massive proportion lied.

Oh, woe be the old masters of this realm, as suddenly colossi surrounded them with the intent to kill, along with Zayra's pet masters and of course, Zayra herself, who stood with a devilish grin on her face. It was a slaughter, a hopeless case for the old masters. Zayra's trap prevailed, and now there was only one thing left to do, and that was to get rid of the remainders. It was simple—these traitors believed every word that came out of her mouth, and so when Zayra promised the knowledge to the last one standing, and they took care of the task themselves. One remained after the civil bloodshed, truly mad as he was covered in the gore of his friends simply for a peek at her knowledge. He was the only Master of the Void besides Zayra alive, and he looked up into her eyes with sad hope plastered on his face. She smiled and brought him close, so that if she whispered, he would hear.

She told him how she began her studies, as the terrors of the Void licked their lips.

She told him the epiphany she had that caused her to have an unusual idea, as the terrors of the Void began to creep up on the poor man.

She told him the key part of the spell she weaved, as the terrors of the Void came close enough to breathe down his neck.

And she was about to tell him the final piece of information needed to open a rift, but the beasts devoured him to quickly.

- A New Beginning Arc: Zayra was the last Master of the Void remaining, but she was not alone. Unlike the methods of the masters before her, Zayra used the Beasts to her advantage. It was one of the problems with escaping this realm that needed a solution: How would the Void be maintained? Zayra would entrust abilities to the creatures themselves to keep their land afloat, so that all she had to do is check on them once in a while. The solution came quickly and easily, one step closer to the end game. The second step was a hell of a lot more strenuous, and that was figuring out how to stabilize the rifts she could create well enough to fit through them without it closing on her. Well, she had the entire dimension to herself now to do as she pleases, and for another one thousand years she would work on perfecting this art. It was that thousandth year that she finally opened the gate she would travel through, after so many control tests. With everything in the Void set to run smoothly, she walked the planes...

Though she came from a place of darkness without comparison, the place she emerged from could be said to be dark as well—the wake of a being with no name. Zayra had expected to emerge in a place of significance, but rather it was a person of significance she was fated to meet instead. This one, Nameless, would understand her as she explained her immediate action of riftwalking. In turn, Nameless would tell her of the world she had emerged on and other miscellaneous information. At first impressions she was curious, choosing to ask for more information about the plane. He was not too interested with her questions, and their personalities already began to clash... but there was something Zayra had not planned for in this new world. Her powers were dramatically lessened, and her beasts were not here to assist her. Nameless had more power over her, and it was for that reason that she deferred... For now.

alrighty then, you are allowed to have the rift thing, but it slicing anything in half no matter what is a no. If something is caught in the middle, it gets spewed out of the side that keeps it in this universe. Also, how long is 1 minute translated to posts. I suggest simply make a post count.

The telekinesis must follow the super strength chart, and thus max weight is 1200 lbs. The speed of course can be increase from 1 mph at max. Also, just know that telekinesis doesn't work directly on PCs, meaning you can't pick up and throw people.

other than that, this seems cool
