The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

—[b]Description:[/b] By outwardly manifesting his Sekhem, Throne is capable of creating a solid shield capable of withstanding quite a bit of punishment. The shield has a range of 10 meters and manifests in the form of a two-dimensional scarab of light-blue energy, and once constructed cannot be moved. The shield can be created at any angle or position, though it cannot co-occupy space with solid matter upon creation. The scarab is eight feet tall and four feet wide

Several same-rank physical blows or one focused powerful attack of the same rank or higher will break the shield, which appears to crack until it bursts into harmless pieces of blue energy that resemble glass and disappears.

—[b]Description:[/b] A complimentary ability to [i]Repair the Vessel[/i], this allows Throne to utilize his Sekhem to cure living beings of a variety of ailments. Any mundane disease can be cured in this method, but physical contact is required and the extensiveness of the disease lengthens the time that Throne must work. A simple cold could be eradicated with a touch, a bacterial infection or the like might take a full post, two if it were particularly advanced. Systemic diseases such as cancer or AIDS might require him to channel Sekhem for days to grant full remission, rendering them incurable in combat scenarios.

The spell works by gradually restoring the individual to a natural, healthy state. It is equally effective against the results of other powers that would be considered an unnatural or unhealthy physical change (not mental; this power cannot cure insanity unless it is the symptom of a physiological affliction), up to C-Rank.


[b]Name:[/b] Wisdom of Thoth

—[b]Power:[/b] Hekau
—[b]Description:[/b] This spell allows Throne to gain a single temporary Skill one level below his rank for two posts. The Skill in question can only apply to what would be termed “knowledge”, and must be generalized. He could quickly become well-versed in Biology, but he could not become well-versed in an enemy and learn their secrets/weaknesses.

Knowledges which require a physical component to be effective can be gained, but the physical component does not carry over. By choosing “Martial Arts”, Throne would become an excellent commentator for a martial arts event; he would not, however, be any more capable of performing martial arts than he was prior. Alternately, the spell can be used to grant Throne the ability to understand, speak, and write all human languages for the duration.

This spell takes a several word incantation to enact, and can be used only once per thread. At B-Rank, the effect persists for 3 posts; at A, 4; at S, an entire thread.

—[b]Description:[/b] This spell allows Throne to build up an overcharge of raw Sekhem and blast it at opponents. The Sekhem coalesces into balls 8” in diameter that wreath his hands; he may then hurl them rapidly at targets within 20 meters. It’s a little like throwing, but Throne is much more accurate with Sekhem Orbs than he would be with, say, a baseball; immediately upon leaving his hands, they streak forward at 50 mph in a straight line. They explode on contact, blasting a 3 meter area with concussive force that can easily render a normal human unconscious on a direct hit.

—[b]Description:[/b] This spell allows Throne to build up an overcharge of raw Sekhem and discharge it in a flare from his body. This manifests as a flash of blinding blue light, and anyone looking directly at him when it goes off will be blinded for 3 posts (unless they have protective eyewear , no eyes, or any of the other various mitigating factors possible). Common sunglasses do not protect against this effect; any eyewear that would must be D-Rank Tech or higher.

—[b]Power:[/b] Soul Manipulation
—[b]Description:[/b] This passive ability allows Throne to “see” the souls of others, whether they be in or out of body. In addition to letting him see the ghosts of human-originating beings while they linger, it lets him tell with a glance whether someone is good, evil, or somewhere in between. For the sake of communicating this information, assume a 5 point scale with 1 being Pure Evil and 5 being Pure Good; the weight of sins that he is capable of perceiving is no more detailed than that at this level. It will also reveal any effect on an individual’s soul, such as a spell, demonic contract, soul-oriented possession, etc. This DOES NOT affect psychic abilities with a similar function.

[b]Name:[/b] Mantle of the Sahu
—[b]Rank:[/b] C-A
—[b]Power:[/b] Soul Manipulation
—[b]Description:[/b] By strengthening the power of his [i]ka[/i], Throne can surround himself in a visible aura that makes him seem grand and important. The aura takes on a golden color, similar to depictions of pharaohs in ancient Egyptian artwork. At C, this affects only individuals who can see and hear Throne. At B, it includes anyone who can hear his voice. At A, his voice is empowered, carrying for 100 meters and affecting anyone within range regardless of whether they can hear or not. This does not function with technology; a megaphone would not enhance his distance, and a televised broadcast would have no effect at all.

Civilians affected will be unable to attack Throne, save in self-defense. They will listen to him, and give them the same regard they would whomever they respect most. While this is not mind-control, it can seem very similar, since as long as what he says would not cause them direct harm or conflict with their personal beliefs, the crowd will generally obey.

Strong-willed individuals (e.g. player characters and important NPCs) are less affected. They will still be more inclined to listen to Throne, and to find him a credible source of information. They can attack him, and are under no direct compulsion to carry out his orders- the orders will just seem more sound.

—[b]Power:[/b] Soul Manipulation
—[b]Description:[/b] The [i]ab[/i] corresponds to the heart, and is the seat of emotion in the soul. By strengthening his own ab, Throne can become immune to techniques that would manipulate his emotions regardless of means. This affects only direct emotional control or urging; it does not block out telepathy, mind control, or similar abilities. Once activated, it persists for the remainder of the thread and counters all relevant same rank or lower abilities that target Throne.

This spell takes an entire post to enact, and can be used once per thread.
Specify this further, gain one ability from?. Additionally make it so you can use the ability for a lot shorter then the entire thread, maybe two posts then gradually work your way up from there.
