The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

Kael is fairly tall, pale young man, standing at about 6 feet tall even, and his body type is fairly slender. He has a very slight amount of muscle tone, but that is mostly because there isn't much fat to speak of to block the view of the muscles. His skin is very fare, meaning that it has a good complexion to it, and doesn't have any blemishes and such, it is almost perfect skin. Starting from his head, he has long blonde hair that is combed to one side, and sort of flattened onto his head. His eyes are all white due to the experiment, leaving no pupils or iris to speak of. He has a bit of stubbled skin showing where he shaves his beard, which doesn't seem as prominent as with other people. His ears are worth mentioning, as they are pointed, his overall appearance making him look sort of like an elf. He has fairly broad shoulders, and other than his slenderness, his body is fairly manly. His clothing is very flamboyant and extravagant, as he lives up to his name as the Grand Magus. He wears black clothing made of a lightweight material under all his extravagant clothing, which would be his shirt and pants, as well as his socks. Over that, he has a gold bordered leather cloak that goes down to his elbows on the sleeves, and the sleeves open up rather largely. It has a cape type cloth that goes down to his ankles of the same material and color, along with the gold borders. The cape opens up on the bottom quite largely, making his legs visible. Over that he has an elaborate white vest, with cape, shoulder pads, and a cloth that covers his midsection and goes down to his knees. He also wears some leather boots that go all the way up to the knees.

Personality: As the self proclaimed Grand Magus, and the prime candidate for the title of Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, Kael is rather arrogant, and this spills over into almost anything he does. On top of his arrogance, he is extremely brilliant in the field of the supernatural, involving powers and magic, so he has a reason to be as arrogant as he is. He often looks down upon others, and if there are those that are stronger than him, he will simply play it off that he will best them eventually, and all he needs is time to remember the ancient spells. He has a strange attribute, in that he associates almost everything with memories, as he believes that everyone was born with knowledge about everything, and simply needed to remember the facts. A strange philosophy regarding knowledge, but it seems to have gotten him thus far. Due to the experiment, he has lost most of his memory, but retains all memory about his magic, and he simply has amnesia. He thinks that learning and witnessing things will jog his memory again, allowing him to become more powerful. He has a strong desire for power, but his pride won't allow him to take any artificial help from anyone, unless he completely respects them.

    Main Power: Elemental Magic - The user can speak chants and incantations to bring forth the power of the elements. The user gains a new element out of the five natural ones(fire, water, earth, air, lightning), upon ranking up. The user can create mixtures of elements as abilities, but the power works as such. To get an ability, one must first call upon the essence/s of the elements they are utilizing. A simple chant in an ancient tongue calls forth a sphere of essence, which can be utilized for different purposes. One can only use abilities that are aligned with the essences they have. An example would be if the user calls upon an essence of fire, then they may use any abilities that require one essence of fire. If they have a water and fire essence, then they may use any abilities that require one fire essence, one water essence, or one water and one fire essence.

This allows the incantations to be spoken in the mind of the user, allowing casts of magic when stealth is important, or the ability to speak is hindered. Saying the word within the mind takes just as long as saying it from the mouth.

The Background


History: In its earliest, and some would say most potent form, magic was primarily the art of memory. It required no technology, no wands or magical circles or apparatuses other than the mind of the magician. All the trappings of ritual were merely mnemonic devices, meant to allow the practitioner to recall in rich detail the specific mental formula that unlocked a spell's power. The greatest mages in those days were the ones blessed with the greatest memories, and yet so complex were the invocations that all wizards were forced to specialize. The most devoted might hope in a lifetime to have adequate recollection of three spells—four at most. Ordinary wizards were content to know two, and it was not uncommon for a village mage to know only one—with even that requiring him to consult grimoires as an aid against forgetfulness on the rare occasions when he might be called to use it. But among these early practitioners there was one exception, a genius of vast intellect and prodigious memory who came to be known as Kael. In his youth, the precocious wizard mastered not four, not five, not even seven incantations, he could command no fewer than ten spells, and cast them instantly. Many more he learned but found useless, and would practice once then purge from his mind forever, to make room for more practical invocations. One such spell was the Sempiternal Cantrap—a longevity spell of such power that those who cast it in the world's first days are among us still (unless they have been killed off). Kael was found out thousands of years later, about a year ago after a long time of simply laying low. This was when the scientists tried prying through his brain, and the experiment caused his knowledge to become fractured, giving him amnesia. His knowledge of magic was nearly innate, and so only some of his knowledge was lost.

Skill isn't needed to recall his spells. Once the ability is learned you'll be able to have the chant, incantation, ect. memorized for that spell.

Since he's basically starting out with just one ability, you could put in that he lost most of the knowledge for his spells such as the incantations even though he remembers their name and what they do. That would help with having to train the abilities.
