Becoming a Monster Part 2 [T]

Raishin seemed to know more and more of himself as he picked through his brain, unraveling his past was no easy task, but he was up to the challenge, especially since every little link and spec of his memory recovered, meant that he knew how to use his powers even more. It was strange, how weak he had actually become within the past five thousand years or so, and his current state was not very good, especially with the large number of other super beings that were present. During his time, the super beings ruled, and there were only a very small umber of them, but it seemed over thousands of years, evolution decided that the humans would develop more and more super powers, and even the supernatural beings that were known as deities were coming down to the earth plan, hoping to reach out and gift someone with incredible powers, much like Raishin. However, Raishin himself was already a powerful vampire by the time the god came down and gave him the ability to completely control his own body. As it was now, he had a very crude control over his body, although some wanted to call it advanced, Raishin knew better. There was a huge amount of different and far more grandiose things that he could do with his power, and all that was needed was a bit of imagination, which meant that he would need to recovoer the bulk of his memory from his past life, even the parts where his brain filled in the gaps, because he was trapped in a tomb for thousands of years. As he started to think about his past life, a strange sense of euphoria engulfed him. It wasn't everyday that a particular memory brought about such feelings, he must have been doing something rather important, but no, it was a flash of his mother's face. Well, it was a lot more shocking when he actually remembered, even sending Raishin to his knees, because his mother was one of the few things that made him sad or angry at all.

He forced that out of his mind, and concentrated on his abilities, and anything to do with his body or powers. He tried to remember how to do certain things, and how to perform certain actions, and he remembered that one of the simplest abilities that he had, was to convert others into vampires, which was the fundamental for spreading his breed around. He wondered why he had completely forgotten it, and it was most likely the fact that he was having too much fun with the humans to think to do it. Now that he remembered that simply mixing a bit of his blood with theirs, he could turn them. Well, interestingly enough, he was going to start that right away. He wanted a covenant, and that was to say, he wanted a large number of vampires under his control, so that he could rule something. He wanted to rule over a large area, but figured a small area, such as a high class neighborhood, would be just fine. He would look at a map, he bought it from a local news stand, and try to find a location that had everything he wanted, and he soon found one. There was a large castle, that housed the rich and famous, and even acted as a hotel of sorts. this would be the perfect chance to claim the entire island as his own. He simply took a boat, although he could easily swim over there, he didn't want to raise suspicion. A few uses of his hypnosis got him into the area, and he quickly found the leader and owner of the castle. A swift bite to the neck, would then cause the man to fall to the floor, writhing in pain, until of course he sprouted the blood drinking teeth, and his skin became slightly paler. The man would then be under Raishin's complete control, and Raishin was then able to get a master key for all the rooms, and started going room to room, infecting whoever he could find.

The aristocratic population of New York was quickly turned over to vampires, only within a few hours, and he would enjoy every minute of the blood drinking. That reminded him that he would need to learn how to control his digestive system, but not in this current session of training, or that's at least how he put it. He was basically training, looking through the castle to find the heart beats, and then quickly converting them into vampires. They each still had their own personality, and they would eventually grow in power, but for now, they were simply blood drinkers, that got slight increases to speed and strength, but they were still much faster and stronger than the average human. This was going to be fun, living in a large castle, and it was even protected by water, the only way over was by boat, which meant unless a super could fly or swim for long periods of time, Raishin would know about them. Getting used to the smell of the castle, as well of the sites and sounds, he could also tell if someone was trying to sneak up on him, because anything out of the ordinary would stand out. It was about time that he did something else, so he left the vampires in charge, and allowed them to do whatever it was they were doing before, and he made sure to tell them not to go out into direct sunlight, as that would burn them to a crisp. He swam back to the main land of New York, quite quickly, using extra skin to web his feet and hands, and then quickly removed them when he got to shore. The people on the beach looked a bit strange at Raishin, most likely because he was in formal attire, now soaking wet and walking out of the water. The people must have believed that he had been shipwrecked or something, off the coast. Still, he ignored the people for the time being, and simply concentrated on his ability to infect a massive amount of the populace in one go.

He didn't really want to infect more people, as he wanted being a vampire to be a daunting task, and from then on, you would have to be skilled to gain the blessing of the sanguine vampiris, which was the name of the actual dna changer that turned one into a vampire. Still, it seemed that his day wasn't quite over yet, and according to the sunlight, it was time for him to go to his home and take a long sleep session in. He would sleep from three in the afternoon, to nine thirty, which would have him wake up right after dark, although the streets of New York rarely got dark, especially with all of the twenty four hour shops still open, and the light of the big city still blaring on. How any normal person could sleep here with the constant hustle and bustle of everyday city life was beyond him, especially considering there were still trains going by, and there were people living in close proximity to the train route. Raishin would simply walk the streets, patrolling for something, whether it be blood, or entertainment, or a combination of both, he was simply bored. He needed to do something major soon, or this boredom would kill him for sure. As Raishin walked the streets, he yawned, and met up with a person trying to sell fake watches. He could simply tell they were fake, not because of the watches, but because of the man. There was no way he would be selling expensive watches on the street, especially for the prices he had them at, as he would most likely have sold them to a dealer if they were all genuine. Raishin took this as a sign to kill him and devour his blood, and then he did just that. The man was quickly dragged into an alley, where he was slaughtered and his blood drained. It was strange, as Raishin found himself killing more and more people that couldn't be considered 'innocent' by most standards. Hustlers, thieves, criminals. They were all simply food for the vampire, and it seemed that he was straying farther and farther from the actual civilians of the planet, and more towards the criminals and such.

This would need to be changed immediately, and so Raishin went into a liquor store, and simply murdered everyone there.
