Appearance: Sonas is an odd one, having the body of a human teenage girl, with tacked on light brown fox ears and a light brown, white-tipped fox tail. Her long straight hair is much the same color as her foxy additions—light brown—flowing down to her waistline in the back, with two symmetrical locks on either side of her face falling over her shoulders and resting just above her chest. Her eyes are a vibrant red-orange color, holding that adorable trait that some animals seem to have in their own eyes. Her nose is of the celestial type, petite, and her lips are thin. But her mouth is quite large, which is fitting for her tendency to be an obnoxiously loud animal. Sonas' figure is thin, and though the curves of a female are present and her cup size is even substantial at C, she has quite the petite frame—seeming fragile almost despite her great health and physical prowess. For apparel, her outfit consists of a tan long-sleeve sweater, a pair of white panties, and green-tinged gray jeans. She lacks a bra, and actually detests footwear. This clothing hardly ever changes due to the fact that Sonas' animal mind doesn't really see the significance in clean clothing. Changing is difficult also due to the fact that there is a hole in the back of her jeans where her tail fits through, making it rather extraneous in any attempt to do so.

Personality: This is what makes Sonas who she is, and this is the direct result of the experiment that went haywire on her. In basic terms, her mind was switched with that of a dog, completely replacing the personality of the girl Amber Feng who used to live in this body. Now, she thinks and acts like a domesticated dog. Although, even dogs have a personality to show, however minor it may seem to be. Sonas' primary trait is her hyperactivity; she never seems to run out of energy no matter how much she plays and roughhouses or runs or barks. She is much like a crazy little kid in that respect, or more appropriately a youthful little dog with no desire to ever stop playing. This can get quite obnoxious sometimes, with her mass of barks, wanting to play a lot, and random biting on stuff.

But there is more to this child-like/puppy-like Sonas; another of her strong traits is loyalty, which despite all her qualms and quirks, she will stay faithful to the one she has deemed as her owner, a uniquely powerful bond even for an animal. And she also has a strong sense of protection, a desire to keep her owner and her companions safe from harm, sometimes even if it would come at the cost of her life. These traits are what make Sonas the pet... and person she is.

The Background

History:
- Beginning Arc: Though now it hardly pertains to the character of Sonas, there once was a female child born to Poe Feng and Katsa Feng, originally Katsa Pennington. The baby's name was Amber Feng, inheriting most of her mother's looks. Poe had moved from China to the United States by a favor of a big money company, and several years later had met up with Katsa. Poe was quite wealthy from his past in China, so when Amber was born, she had well enough to inherit. She had a good life ahead of her from the looks of it with a good foundation to start off of and a great set of parents to raise her. Sure enough she upheld a great set of morals and values as she was raised to be a good child. She went to school, turned in above average work, and succeeded in a lot of her endeavors. For years this was a big happy family.

- A Favor Arc: But how long would the good times last, for they seemed to pass so quickly...? Well, the answer to that would become quite clear when that past favor would come to bite Poe in the butt. The big money company aforementioned was actually where Poe had earned his great wealth, and where he had quit to go to the Americas. Quitting and leaving was not easy considering what the company dealt in... but Poe couldn't deal with the fact that he threw in his lot with them anymore, and had to get away. He had a friend in the company that helped him on a favor, but around two decades later the act would make big trouble: Poe's friend couldn't keep his mouth shut forever, and so the company decided to come reclaim the favor from Poe, just when he was starting to forget his past and become comfortable with the present.

They asked too much, but when held at gun point there really was nothing to do about it. Poe cursed himself, regretting his choice of occupation, and he was forced to watch as they took his daughter, Amber age 16, away from him. They would never see her again...

- An Experiment Gone Awry Arc: This company made its money off of radical experiments. three out of four of their projects end up with great success, while every one out of four ends up in horrible failure with disastrous consequences. Currently, the men at this company were in progress with one of those terribly dangerous projects—something they called mind-hacking. It was so far back in the alpha stages in a way that they could only guess at their own results. They needed a human test subject, but of course none of the employees would step up. Amber would become their guinea pig, along with a poor little fox, as they attempted to move the consciousness of one entity into another.

One push of a red button and many agonizing screams later left the observers squirming in their shoes, afraid of their own results. Neither the human nor the fox body was moving, and a man had to be sent into the experiment room to go check it out. After a quick scrutinization, the girl was found to be alive but unconscious, while the fox was dead. The girl was brought out on a gurney and into a private emergency room to await her wake and to see what they have wrought. A diagnosis revealed that the girl was in a sort of coma induced by the accident, and that it would take some time before she woke once more. During that long drift through unconsciousness, physical changes occurred to her body that were most unusual, such as the protrusion of a second set of ear akin to the fox's, as well as a tail. It took several days before the coma passed, and Amber was brought into consciousness... but she was no longer Amber. The experiment had produced results, but it had not gone as planned.

- Bark Arc: Amber's mind had been overwritten by that of the fox's, and she now acts like a domesticated dog despite her human body with fox-like additions. Honestly, the head of this project really didn't know what to do with her. The majority vote just barely suggested execution of the creation, and it kept drifting closer and closer to the day where an action was actually taken. That is, of course, until this new Amber decided to take matters into her own hand. It turns out that even before the experiment, Amber had the X-Gene in her known to grant special abilities beyond the norm, already making her what's known as a mutant. This ability carried on after the experiment had taken place, and it would finally show itself on the day of the human fox's escape. The transformation somehow granted her instinctual knowledge of how to use this ability, and boy did she use it. Her barks had the power of sonic blasts capable of tearing down concrete walls and throwing people meters away from her. She caused several thousand dollars of structural damage to the company on her way out, and managed to escape without a team of pursuit.

Now it turns out that the company would hide the accidental creation of a human-fox with a huge blanket, preferring not to highlight something so incriminating... instead they deemed the large destruction a bad result of a project they dubbed "Sonas". Amber knew no better, with her animal mind, and so could not really expose the truth herself. In fact, since that day of escape, she's kept a tight cover over her destructive volume and somehow managed to remain discreet in the country of the United States. But perhaps it was time for a reemergence?
