On Site Observations (OPEN: Near the area of the Portal)

Dante was simply minding his business in the city outskirts, after having found him a place to stay and stash his stuff within the city in a small apartment, when all of a sudden an interesting phenomenon would catch his attention. Spreading from over a nearby neighborhood located in what he assumed to be one of the small suburban areas of New York was a crimson sky. Everyone seemed to stop and marvel at what appeared to be the end of times. Cars stopped and people simply stood in the middle of the streets. No one seemed to notice at first that things seemed to centering or spreading from that one area, other than Dante who was exceptional when it came to attention to detail. However this phenomenon, was beyond him. Something he had never experienced before and therefore left him awe struck like many of the other civilians. Dante was still dressed in his new wear: blue jeans, red hoodie, white t-shirt. He blended well with normal crowds of folk.

"What is going on?" he would mumble aloud.

Dante would make the choice to head toward that area to get a better look at things. He did not know what was going on of course but his usual assumptions jumped to mutant. Or could this be another case of the supposed "gods"? He reflected on a past encounter that was not very impressive. However this, this he could believe to be of some higher power or at least a very high classed mutant, unlike any he had seen before.

Moment Passed.

Dante would arrive to the suburb neighborhood and when he got there he noticed a large swirling vortex of energy. He was pretty far from it but he had took the effort to climb to a house's rooftop for a better view. From here he could see what he assumed were children walking into the vortex. It was all mysterious and eerie for him. If he would want to know more, he would obviously have to get closer (meaning go into the subplot topic derp) however at this point in time he did not feel the urge to do that. He believed that being where he was at this time would prove best strategically. From here he could see how the city would respond, possibly who was responsible, and perhaps really get an idea of what kind of beings inhabit this city.

So in the mean time, Dante stood on the roof of this house far off with his arms folded and his hood down. There were other civilians nearby, outside their houses too afraid to go near the portal. He simply just looked like another one of them with a better view.

As Dante continued to watch things unfold from a distance, he noticed a few things happen. One would be the blur of movement he was lucky to catch, not letting that escape his attention. The blur stopped moving and it was some figure near the children. Dante could not really tell what was going on from his position, just notice the arrival and movements of others at that scene. One thing is for sure, that figure was not human. It's movement was unnatural, too fast. Dante's eyes narrowed as he continued to watch from this roof top.

The sound of squealing tires from a distance caught Dante's ear. He quickly looked off and could see a vehicle speeding its way toward this scene. The car showed no means or chance of slowing down and from what he could see, it appeared as if the car would hit the ice cream truck head on. This was confusing. Was this an act of vigilante justice? Or was this a dumb driver? Dante with his arms still folded would just continue to watch. It appeared as if the world was going mad. Not only that, even more people were coming out of their houses. It was as if everyone from everywhere were making their way to this area now. Dante looked up and saw several choppers in the air, spotlights being put down on the scene. This was chaos. A smirk appeared on his face, he liked it a bit deep down. However, this chaos seemed to be larger than himself as he said. Thus it was a potential danger and he would have to be cautious.

The sound of more speeding wheels could be heard and over that, sirens off in the distance. Dante turned his attention to the next speeding bike. The bike would stop off in the distance and a man in red would get off, or so it appeared to be a man. The man pulled what Dante assumed to be a bow and arrow from his back, aiming it toward the car or the ice cream truck, Dante could not tell for sure but it was in that direction. This event was getting more and more interesting by the second. Dante would have to move soon if he wanted a better view, however he would wait a few more minutes.

The ice cream truck seemed to have disappeared and things were getting rather hectic at that scene of events. The children disappeared along with the truck all of a sudden. The girl that was once present seemed to have flashed away to the rooftop of another home in this large culdesac. So many crowds had gathered around and Dante really wanted a better view of these supers. It was obvious now that this was an issue between some high end people. Dante wanted to know who his neighbors were in this city. Dante would jump down from the roof and begin moving through the crowds, blending within where any pursuer would be unable to follow his trail.
