Appearance: Johnny DuPree would look like your ordinary college student, if it wasn't for the slight glow and the huge kite shield on his back. He wears a t-shirt and jeans most of the time, the strap to the shield a bright white compared to the darker colors of the shirt he usually wears. He has a simple pair of (currently black) sneakers with calf socks. During the colder days, he will also wear a big heavy jacket.
The kite shield is six feet in height, and when not in use, is slung on his back, reaching down to slightly below his knees and a little above his head. Johnny himself is 6'3". On the shield itself, it stays blank until it is activated, simply taking the color of polished silver. When it is activated, the shield keeps silver, but white lines etch themselves on the shield, forming semi-folded angel wings meeting into a line that goes straight down the shield perfectly in the middle. Below the wings, intricate swirls and patterns stem from the line, creating a beautiful picture. The lines glow faintly after the transformation finishes.
With light brown hair and dark brown eyes, Johnny has nothing exotic about his face. From his average ears, to a regular nose and simple lips, the only thing that stands out on his face are the occasional scars. These are nothing exciting, just leftover from surgeries done in the past from accidents. He has kept himself in shape, keeping a lean but strong body with hints of a six pack on his abs. He keeps himself toned, and tries to keep himself tan by staying in the sun.
Personality: Johnny is at his simplest a good person. He loves to help people, and has a strong sense of justice. He believes there is good in anyone, little though as it may be. This makes him a bit of a goody two shoes and gullible. He is earnest, and tries not to let himself get down too much when things go wrong. He's always searching for the high road option, the choice that will be the best for all parties. He searches for the good in everyone and everything. He has a strong sense of loyalty, mostly to his morals, but also to those he has pledged to help.

—Description: Johnny activates this ability by activating the shield (this power is directly connected to the shield). While in effect, Johnny has a "meter" of positive energy that charges over time. While Johnny is experiencing a positive mood (happiness, love, camaraderie, charity, compassion, hope, courage, etc.), the meter grows by 15% each post while it is in action. People friendly to Johnny that are also experiencing a positive mood will also add an additional 5% to the meter each post when they are nearby (within approx. 50 feet). However, those within closer range (approx. 30 feet) that are in a negative mood (anger, hate, depression, greed, hopelessness, fear, , etc.) will detract from the meter by 5%. While occurring, Johnny's physical attributes are slightly enhanced. At 50%, Johnny can "drain" power from the meter to buff either his speed, his strength, or his mental fortitude. At 100%, he can bestow the action on nearby allies as well. This buff lasts 3 posts after use before fading, and is akin to a branching ability.

—Description:While the shield is active, Johnny can a divine beam of light. This light, once it hits its target, becomes one half of a pair of shackles, which Johnny can then aim a second blast at another target to finish the shackles. The "chain" of the shackles can be up to 15 feet long. As the shackles are pulled on, they shock both ends with divine energy. Damned entities are more affected, while Blessed are hardly effected. If the second half of the chain is attached to the shield, then Johnny can shorten the chain and pull the affected target towards the shield.

The Background
|
History: A pious believer raised in the church, Johnny was average otherwise. Always looked up to by his peers, such a source of light was always a threat to those who hated it. Johnny's enemies and haters grew almost as fast as his friends and admirers. Though he was often harassed, he stayed strong and didn't let others phase him. He avoided fighting, and managed to deter most fights with simple words. However, that didn't always work, and every once in a while, Johnny would come out of another battle victorious.
As he finished college, he was mugged on the street one night. He simply gave the man his wallet and was about to go on his way when the mugger attempted to end Johnny's life. Johnny ran, but only ran into the mugger's gang. Uttering a prayer for help, Johnny was overcome by light and given a strange shield. He picked it up; though it was large, it was light to the touch. With this power in hand, Johnny fought off the mugger and his gang, and knew that this was a task from God. He took up the mantle of a hero, and called himself, "Angel of Hope."

| - Personality needs to be a bit longer
- For your first power, it says "unlocking abilities related to that affinity" what does this mean?
- Anything relating to that "shield" will need to be changed, because you don't get to start with a weapon without weaponry specialty, which includes a shield
- Strength of Heart: Just need clarification on the mental fortitude, as that doesn't really have branching rules.
