A man of variation, Ryan keeps many items in the same style to his clothing. He likes shirts, t-shirts, sleeveless shirts... As a Con-Artist his clothes often change with each disguise anyway so it would be hard to pinpoint an exact style of clothing though he prefer button up shirts with all kinds of colours, patterns and such and often seen with one when he's not working.
He wears a variety of t-shirts with numerous spatter patterns, colours, prints it really depends on his mood. Often he would take a plain black shirt or white with a logo and some text maybe, sometimes it's a colourful shirt with a clashing spatter pattern, sometimes it's a plain white, striped v-neck shirt. Most if not all of his shirts are of the Fiore brand, Swag line.
For pants, Ryan chooses jeans. He doesn't wear any other kind of pants really, unless he's wearing a suit. Often at least slightly ripped at some parts, their shade ranges from black to grey and dark blue to a very light blue almost grey mixed. He always keeps a varying leather belt on them as well often with very fancy buckles. Lastly a chain or a thinner belt matching the one he is wearing, attached to the side of his pants. Just to look cool. Same as his shirts, he prefers the Fiore brand here, same Swag line.
Ryan wears a pair of Mididas Superstar sneakers. Known as the most awesome shoe in the world, his are custom made and he is rarely seen without them. White sneaks with a Light blue finish and the typical 3 stripes by it's side. Sometimes he wears a pair of combat boots, flip-flops or fancy wingtips but that again is only on the occasion that it fits.
A fan of suits, he is often seen in them. There's as much variety in these as there is in his other clothes and he could wear suits of all colours of the Rainbow.

Like many people Ryan has a few defining clothing items on him that make him stand out or even unique. He has a single favourite Seaking leather jacket. Light blue leather with a slight spatter pattern in a lighter shade of blue, quite like turquoise. Slightly punk styled, aside from it being a biker jacket, the left sleeve has 169 stripes in manner of prison days counting etched on it in white a bit randomly. The chest flaps have an ace of spades on the left side and an ace of hearts on the right side. The collar is often worn upwards. The right sleeve and the back have a black stitching of a skull symbol which is his choice of style. The stitching on the sleeve is at about upper arm to shoulder level but the stitching on the back is spread over most of the back of the jacket in a slightly clockwise rotated pattern. The sleeves are also just a bit shorter than they should be and as he rolls them up it's for convenience. It's a jacket not often worn on duty unless he is undercover.
Ryan also has a favourite sweatband that he wears on his right hand. It is a white and blue stripe with the blue stripe being inside the general white sweatband. On top of it is the number 21 and the backside of it has a number 7, both in black.
One additional item is a worn and flared, dark red, bloodstained scarf. Stitched with a brown thread is a weird and crooked smile. It looks very worn but he sometimes wears it instead of a beanie like a bandanna, tied around his arm, around his neck like a scarf or simply keeps it in his pockets. He doesn't ever leave without it.
General Appearance:
Ryan is a man of average height and has a slim build. He's muscular but one wouldn't call him buff or chiselled. He has a single black tattoo of the Libra sign (♎) on the left side of his chest but otherwise nothing else of note. His face has some smooth features and is actually quite handsome even if he has a scar on the bridge of his nose. His hairstyle and the look in his eyes give him a wild and slightly thug-ish appearance.
In general his facial expression will be friendly or smiling. Ryan tends to assume many relaxed positions with his hands behind his head. He has numerous ticks and tells to his his game but he knows exactly what they are. When he is cracking his knuckles or playing with his his hair it all concious to tick people off. He gives off a relaxed but uncomfortable air. Though he is friendly and smiling, his looks don't compute. Actually he looks a lot like another guy if they had the same hairstyle. One could say they could be brothers.

Personality: Ryan is generally an upbeat person. He lives by his own pace and has his own agenda that he rarely interrupts. The type of guy who's great to have a drink with but really don't want to get in a barfight with. Slightly arrogant, loud, sarcastic and a bit rude, he'll rarely leave a discussion without a word of counter. Not always the wittiest response however. Caring little for real emotions, Ryan likes reading people, trying to figure them out from looks and simple conversation. He rarely doesn't smile or laugh, believing that a simple gesture as that can brighten someone's day and their hopes. He's not laid-back or gullible however and tries to fill his days with other things than slacking. Ryan likes listening to music, reading manga, playing various games of chance like poker or dice games. Leaving a lot of things to chance, he is believer of destiny. Though events are pre-determined in his opinion, he won't just simply accept his fate if it's negative.

For his moral codes, Ryan has little. He's a man that wouldn't kill without reason and is especially soft on women and children but he has no problem diluting shmucks of their money or beating up punks with no respect. He wouldn't steal from people who couldn't miss it though. Like rich folk would be a primary target but poor people who can barely get by anyway wouldn't ever be considered. Despite his rough attitude and exterior he's determined about his goals and has a soft heart of gold. Never would he think of breaking a promise to his friends but he has little trouble lying to rich obnoxious strangers. He couldn't pass someone in need of help and has a soft spot for tragic stories and people in need. He will often burst out in tears breaking his serious approach to life when said event happens. A really nice guy if you don't piss him off. In a way his personality could be described as "Tsundere" at times, though he hates being called that.

His type of Justice is best described as "Sympathy" Justice. He is only truly compelled to take action through the emotion of sympathy and pity. 'Heros', it doesn't matter to him, in the end if their true intentions are about hurting innocents and advancing themselves, they won't be spared. His views on the World Government are fairly negative though despite being a Shield agent . Believing that the World Government is burning out and is destined to fall sometime soon, he doesn't accept their actions as right or wrong. It would depend on the action in question. Ryan is fairly Neutral and looks out mostly for himself but can't help but showing a Good side once in a while.

Ryan is a fan of rock music. Anything with a good beat, guitar and some lyrics that speak to the soul will have his interest. Though that is just a hobby, He has no talent in music himself. He has some artistic talent though and uses it either to forge false documents or making sketches of his surroundings and the people in them. Sometimes to impress girls too. Though Ryan could be considered quite the womaniser, he's looking for the right girl only. Having enough of pointless relationships, Ryan left that behind him when the hollow feeling never filled. He'd flirt with attractive women but wouldn't move on if he didn't have any feelings for them.

A bit of a manga fan, Ryan got into martial arts because of them. That and the fact that his mentor Harvey the Knife thought it would be a good front. He mostly reads the popular magazine Weekly Shonen Hop! with his favourite mangas there being Beelzeboss, Mangaman, Lookalicious Jim, Turtle Star and Jintama. His favourite manga in general is Pixie Tail, though an ecchi comedy adventure story, Ryan likes gag and battle manga a lot. Recentlyk getting into a modern kids' show "MY LITTLE PONY!", he became a fan of the characters, the animation... Though a kids' show about ponies it has gained quite the adult following due to the way it is brought. Ryan doesn't consider himself a Duny (combination of the word Dude and Pony) but often gets shit from all kinds of haters who can't let a guy watch his show in peace.

Last but not least, Ryan is a heavy drinker. The guy likes his drink, knows his measure but can enjoy that more than most regular people due to his high tolerance for alcohol. His preferred poison is Whiskey though Vodka regularly ties for the top spot.

By being able to get into SHIELD's large information servers. He has information on a lot of things, such as pros and cons of certain entities. His knowledge would only be restricted to what SHIELD knows, and the panels can be activated and seen easily with the HUD of one of his masks.

He is able to wield his two blades with great speed and strength. Since, his two swords are energy blades, he can easily swing it much much more faster than one wielding a katana. He can do a complete diagonal swing at 0.10 seconds. A quick side to side swing at 0.05 and one going up and down at the same speed. Since, Kenpo is all about really fast movements, this fitted Ryan's blades the most.

The Background

History:

~ Chapter I: Fallen Angels of the same Feather ~

For this story to make sense, people will have to understand the concept of cheating. See when a mommy and a daddy love each other a lot they get married and have babies. However when the mommy got drunk one night and had a crazy adventure with a Con Artist from below the white sea, you get babies you didn't want to have. Ryan was born shortly after Jack and donated away to some foreigners passing through. Those foreigners eventually landed on Hawaii, where Ryan grew up in an Orphanage. Ryan probably doesn't even have a single mental image of his arents and has no desire to do find out.

QThe events of his birth eventually caused Jack's story to where he and his parents fell down from the white sea. The p father wanted to see his son and when he found out about where his son was, he made sure his mother would pay for her foolish actions. But that is a different tale... Ryan grew up with no last name for most of his life. He was just Ryan and nothing else. The only memento of his past was a small rusty pendant with the letter "D." that he keeps close but otherwise doesn't really care for the parents that abandoned him. No knowledge of the sky, his heritage or anything. Ryan grew up a bitter about it as when the other orphans asked him what his parents used to be all he could answer was "I don't know..."

~ Chapter II: Delinquency is all I know ~

Growing in an Orphanage in Osula City, Ryan lived on the streets most of the time. Your typical hoodlum, he got into fights often, stole from tourists and sometimes even locals. A guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do to survive. Stealing food from fruit stalls, cash from random people on the streets... Life wasn't too hard, it was different. His entire youth was all about running around with things, getting into fights with other kids and even adults sometimes. Ryan was quite the loner. While the Orphanage was really nothing more than a place to sleep for everyone, most of the kids grouped up. Ryan however did not. This got him into more fights than most as he had no one to rely on to watch his back.

Truth be told, he was just hesitant to make friends. Being betrayed by his parents, Ryan took it so that no one wanted him in this world. He felt like he was a castaway that no one wanted and was angered by the idea. Anger and resent was all he could express properly so even kids who wanted to be his friend, soon stopped trying because he kept pushing them away, violently or otherwise. There was that one girl that kept trying when he was 14 but even she gave up after a while. In a way, Ryan regrets that even now but can hardly remember anything about his time on Osula. Not that it mattered, his younger years were quite irrelevant. In a town full of pirates, no one cared for a small petty thief. "Who cares what I do? No one, that's who so I can do whatever I damn well please..."

~ Chapter III: "You're gonna go far Kid..." ~

At the age of 14 right, before his 15th birthday, Ryan had a fateful encounter with a man who would later become his mentor. Harvey "The Knife" McGrath was in Osula. A 42 year old notorious con-man taking a refuge in Osula from the authorities. A true pirates haven where even a man like him could find some peace. Well relatively speaking. Harvey was a handsome man with slick blond hair and a pretty face. However he was also strong and quite clever. Ryan made the mistake of picking his pockets and did the one thing a true thief can never do. Get caught. Ryan was nearly instantly found out, nothing escaped Harvey's attention. Ryan being the rowdy kid that he always was, got a proposition from Harvey. The man saw a spirit burning in him. With the right training and fuel, that spirit could become a blazing fire, ready to take the world by storm.

The proposition was simple, help the man out with a simple Con-act and he'd pay off his shameful attempt of a pickpocket. The act was quite simple, All Harvey did was go around and whisper something into the ears of pirates enjoying a drink at the local watering hole. Right before Ryan's eyes, a bar brawl happened without Harvey ever so much as raising a finger. Ryan asked how the man had done this incredible feat. Harvey had a very simple answer to it... "Lie."

While the men were fighting, Ryan would swoop up their riches. An easy task for a nimble kid like him. All that fighting and running does pay off. at the end of the evening they split the riches, with the bigger part of the loot heading into Harvey's pocket but Ryan didn't care. It was a good loot, more than he could earn in a whole day... As Harvey was just about to leave Ryan grasped him by the shoulder and asked him the fateful request that made his escape from Osula. "... Show me how to lie." Harvey laughed and suggested a test in return. In case of success, Ryan would become his disciple. A simple card trick, pick the queen out of 2 cards. Ryan won though the details of how it went down are still unspoken of but all that's spoken was "You're gonna go far kid."

~ Chapter IV: The Kids aren't Alright... ~

Life picked up for Ryan after that. Learning the trade of Conman, or Artist as Harvey preferred. Years passed and Ryan became a smoother talker with more money and more free time. Harvey often used a gadget or two in his cons so Ryan picked that up as well. So between a life of lies, money, girls, alcohol, tinkering with metal and planning the next big scam, Ryan also picked up manga and drawing. It was a grasp at a childhood he never truly experienced, one of happier times where kids got to play and live an innocent life. Have dreams and work towards those dreams. Ryan never had any of that so a shonen manga was his grasp at lost time and life.

Time moved on and at the age of 16, Ryan was an adapt slick talker, a useful assistant to any inventor around and a bit of an otaku. He could also move a ton of alcohol for some reason that involved his metabolism. It was at that point that Harvey suggested getting into a different type of con. Up until now they were only doing short quick cons with a decent pay-off but Harvey suggested a bigger scale run. A large underground gambling network based off fighting tournaments all over the blues. Ryan would be a participant and would either have to win or lose fights to make the most profit. Little Kink in the plan was that Ryan was just that good, a street fighter at best. No way he could compete against the pro's and actually make it so the fights were in his favour all the time. Here was the next step in the art of the conman that Ryan had to learn: You always have to do your homework. His life of easy money was over for a bit and he'd have to start seriously doing martial arts if they wanted to do this con. For some reason Harvey was rather adamant about this particular con so Ryan would have to get off his lazy ass and do something.

~ Chapter V: Making Money Roll ~

So Ryan spent the next year training in martial arts. A series of hardships and long days, short nights and sore muscles. Every day was a bording day of training, lectures, studies (can't forget how to con people now) and the occasional tinkering, life was an occupied busy, busy bee. At the age of 17, he entered his first tournament. He was a novice tae kwon do user in a large mixed martial arts tournament but held his ground. Aside from the shady bet scheme Harvey seemed to be running, Harvey also made contacts with other folk. Rich folk, the type with money. The type that you didn't want to mess with... Lesser Nobles, high ranking people, Ryan didn't like this idea. after all rule number one of any good conman was "Whatever you do, don't get caught."

It seemed that the tournament betting scheme was a front for an even bigger scheme. One to rob the richest folk in American Government? Tag teaming the rich bastards felt... Good. Ryan saw the life these people led and even a glimpse of this was better than this a lifetime of what he had on Osula. They deserved to be lost in insurance scams, fake life policies and "investor opportunities". Money was rolling in by the boatloads and while the two men had to maintain a façade most of the time, Ryan felt felt damn good. He was exercising, taking money from the rich, got the ladies, had time to spend on hobbies... Couldn't ask for more really. The young man decided it was time to give back to the community so he travelled alone for a while after the two men had made a fortune off the rich folk.

Going back to Osula, the now 18 year old Ryan did his best to give back to the community. Every dime he earned would be a part of this and even if he had millions and millions, the young man did his best to help the kids of Osula live a better life than he did. Not that he could do much anyway but he could try.

~ Chapter VI: Nice work ya did! ~

Not all is well though when you were in a big town. Not like Ryan got into fights like he did before but he ran into a very unexpected enemy here. One who revealed himself not as an enemy but a benefactor to Ryan. At the time Albatross was still a junior agent grade but the man was the same man who would later make a few important actions with an impact on people's lives. Either way, as Ryan was trying to teach some kids the importance of a decent education, Albatross approached the young man with a proposal. He couldn't arrest him on Osula, that would mean trouble for everyone but if Ryan was willing to turn Harvey in, he would let him walk free. The young man laughed at the proposal. Harvey was a man who had done so much for Ryan, why would he betray him now. Albatross had a simple answer. The fact that Harvey was lying all this time.

Disbelief shook his heart as Ryan was under the impression that Harvey did not lie to him once. Albatross revealed that Harvey was in fact, Ryan's biological father and that he was aware of that. The reason why he was in Osula, the reason why he was training Ryan like this... Was because he had finally found his son. Shaken to tears Ryan was angry. Rage, disbelief, denial all in conflict in his being, Albatross spoke the truth. After a bloody fist and a few shouts of anger, Ryan made up his mind. "Well then, time for the student to surpass his master..."

Travelling back for a meet with Harvey, Ryan had no intention of just turning him in, that would be impossible anyway. No, he wanted answers first. Meeting Harvey on Gray Island, in that half year Ryan had not seen him, the man seemed to have made a total reversal in his personality. As Ryan met him in the V.I.P. lounge of a good club he seemed to be in the middle of a scam. Nothing wrong with that but he was scamming someone who didn't fit in this place at all. It was a young girl, quite good-looking and as she left, Ryan had a quick word with her. Turns out that she was from a poor family and that Harvey was going to help her get money for her parents and siblings. Ryan had no doubt that it wasn't through whatever means he told her. She'd be in so deep she could never get out of the dark world the man was pushing her in. So that was the turning point. The man was consumed by greed and paranoia.

As the two met again, Ryan noticed it himself. Playing in on his greed, He suggested the building project scam. Gray Island was in constant need of land to build their fancy architecture on, so Ryan suggested an island expansion company. It was done before, but the edge here would be a deal they couldn't resist. Robbing city hall was a big haul, His father couldn't resist the catch. However on meeting day, the man was caught in a wave of Shield soldiers aiming guns at him. The catch suceeded, but only halfway. The man was a clever escape artist and quickly made a getaway from his deadlocked situation. Catching him again at the docks, in a simple escape ship Ryan was already there waiting for him. The old man became predictable. In a final showdown with his father, Ryan acquired the scar on his face and his father a one way trip to the Shield Prison. "The Knife" wasn't just a nickname to how sharp his wits were after all. Albatross personally congratulated Ryan on his catch. [color:3fe4=#090]"Nice Work ya Did!"

~ Chapter VII: Epilogues of a Broken Family ~

After the whole incident, Ryan had no real goal in life. With the suggestion of Albatross, he decided to join the shield. A kid with a good heart, Ryan couldn't turn his back on doing the right thing. What he also did was have a long talk with his father. His actions and motivation for training Ryan to be the man who he is today were that he would someday carry on with it. Money made the world go round and his philosophy that a thief could steal more than a soldier ever could. Power didn't matter. Ryan disagreed and said that a murderer was the one who stole things that truly mattered. Life was a thing that could never be replaced and he couldn't stand by idly as his father destroyed the lives of people who didn't deserve it. They ended on a bitter-sweet tone but Ryan had no regrets in that regard.

The young man also learned of his brother, or better yet, half-brother. Jack D. Glasgow... Ryan had gone through life with no last name and he certainly didn't want his biological father's name. After Jack's public debut, Ryan heard stories about him from Albatross. A man with a moral compass pointing straight north was what he could make out of it. Ryan was glad at least someone was righteous in his family. Jack was also the last remaining family Ryan had. Inidents happened though and after the arrest, Ryan heard the motivations for Jack's actions from Albatross. The man was lost in his life with no one and no goals. Ryan had a talk with Jack as he was part of his transport to Shield Prison. Albatross spoke the truth, Jack was a good man gone on a bad path due to weakness of his character. But Ryan didn't blame Jack for it. He grew up in even harsher conditions than Ryan.
These days, Ryan spends his time probing the SHIELD security system. He fights corruption, slacking in security and everyone who he has sympathy for. Unless people make something into a problem for him, He's fairly laid-back of his life and takes it easy. Things will work out, somehow.

You can only gain 1 effect at C-rank with a skill. So either he has faster shooting speed or +20% accuracy at C-rank. You can add the second effect at B-rank.

+10% max at C-rank though some friendly advice would be to get rid of the percentiles on accuracy and just be descriptive.
