Appearance:

Nick has an average build. His body is somewhat toned enough to be noticeable, but he isn't as toned as an athletically built guy. He stands at five feet and ten inches. His eye color is hazel brown. His hair color is dark brown. He wears an assortment of different clothes. He often wears a T-shirt underneath a hooded jacket with Blue jeans and black sneakers. On top of that he wears a beige trench coat. Other times its just a mix of casual wear.

Personality:

Nick is pure hearted and well meaning. The events of his life shaped him that way. The lost of the brother he could've saved. The father that died serving as a officer of law. He wanted to make up for his 'failures'. He wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps and be someone who would risk his life to save another without a second thought to it. He wanted to be a hero. His eagerness to 'save' people sometimes gets the better of him. He can be too trusting to people. Naive.

From seeing his little brother get shot right in front of him when he was young, Nick developed a schizophrenia that anyone on the street might pull out a gun on him to try and shoot him. He isn't afraid of guns themselves. Just very careful to avoid getting shot. This makes him anxious when seeing people reach into their pockets for something, or reach into their coat, etc.

The Background

History:

He had a chance to save him. He was too scared. Too slow to act.

Six years ago, Nick and his younger brother were sitting on the porch of their apartment in queens when a gunmen shot at them from across the street. It was late and dark out, but it happened right under a street light. There was about ten seconds to react. Nick managed to jump out of the way into some bushes, but his little brother froze up. He got shot right in the forehead between the eyes and died.

Since that day, Nick has regretted not standing in the way to shield his brother from getting shot. He felt that he was capable of saving him, but he was too scared to risk his own life for him. Every since then he's blamed himself for his brother's lost.

The gunmen was a guy who was the son of a man who got arrested by Nick's father. Nicks father was a policeman that put a very dangerous criminal away. He was a serial killer that hid the murders he did well. Working under a detective, Nick's father helped in brining the man down. The criminal's son swore to hurt Nick's father by taking away someone he loved forever, like his father that had received a life sentence in prison with no bail or way out. That is why his children were a prime target.

Skipping ahead a few years...

The unavoidable accident. A reoccurring event that took place in Nick's life. The one thing he couldn't run away from.

Nick had become a excellent student in school. He even got pushed up a grade. He was selected to go on a special trip for two students only after winning a national science fair on biological benefits to humanity. His project was about harvesting unnaturally grown organs. The trip was to a company that did biological research. The day they went just so happened to be the day they were going to experiment on generating whole organs from just single cells through harnessing gratuitous amounts of energy into the cells to give them more than enough sustainment to split exponentially.

Nick ended up wandering into the test zone, which in turn got him blasted with tons of ionized particles. Instead of dying he came out perfectly fine. He was just radioactive for a few days afterwards. Little did he know the energy had changed him. Altered his very make up and atomic bonds. His structure was now a living output of ionized particles. He found out that he could regenerate one day when he cut off the top digit of his own index finger by mistake while cutting a piece of steak.

Around the time he was seventeen his father died. He met his end on police duty. A tip was given to the police force from an anonymous source that led Nick's father and his team of officers to a small house on the edge of town. It was all a set up though. When Nick's father and the other officers showed up there, they became trapped inside. The house they were invading exploded violently from a planned gas leak. The lost was devastating to Nick. But it lead him to his calling. He made it his sworn duty to help people in honor of his father, and partially to redeem himself for how he failed to save his brother years ago. He decided to work in the medical field. He and his mother moved away to escape the bad memories their former home haunted them with. He found work in Washington D.C. He currently attends medical school.

Approved - Just make sure you know if someone completely obliterates your brain or heart, you're still going to die. Only later do you become a Sylar/Deadpool type healer. Like when you rank up
