| Hello everyone, Keita here once again, and this time bringing you a new section to your Powers! Alright, this will be rules, a guide, or something of the sort that will outline what it takes to get a certain power. These powers that were are talking about are anything out of the norm, or Powers that are simply restricted normally. Usually, powers will simply be stuck into your character app, and the staff will tell you to put some guidelines on exactly how it will function,a nd what it can do, etc. Or they'll tell you it's too strong and tell you to pick another one. This guide is about those powers that are out of the ordinary, mutated, or simply a bit different. I'll give you one example. Telekinesis is a fairly powerful and popular power, that can do quite a bit of things. Normal telekinesis is the advanced mental manipulation of objects and forces around you. Telekinesis can create shields of psychic energy, blasts, constructs, etc. The power can even help you perform complex tasks such as surgery from far distances, keeping you safe. However, what if you wanted a different version of Telekinesis? I was thinking of Telekinetic Force Manipulation. This is basically Telekinesis on steroids, and is essentially a hammer to regular Telekinesis' scalpel. Telekinetic Force is used to crush, smash, and blast things on a much more powerful and large scale than Normal Telekinesis, and powers like this is what this guide is for. Powers that are outside the norm, or would take very specific wording to be approved belong here, and there is a fairly simple guide that is used. You will essentially be describing your specially designed power from the ground up, telling us what the power can do exactly. Then, you will break it down even further, telling us what the power is capable of at the different Tiers. Remember, Tier 1 is the weakest, so you will tell us the bare minimum your power can achieve, while Tier 4 is the strongest. What the power can do with the utmost control and power over it. These will be graded by staff, much like an ability or a weapon might be, and through this, you will get to use your specially designed power. Once the staff gets a feel for your power and you edit it accordingly, it shall be approved, and the complete "Exactness" (is that a word?) of your power shall be removed. Much like Ice Manipulation, while fairly cut and dry, can be used in creative and interesting ways, so will your power. As long as it makes sense for your power to do so, and it is within the defined limits that you yourself helped create, than it shall be fine, as normal powers that don't go through this process will seem to have the power of Vagueness to help them one up these, and that is not the intent of this system. Access to Restricted PowersThis will also be used to request access to a restricted power, or one that you find to be too powerful for it to be simply approved. This can be something like Mind control, Aura Absorption, or the like. Anything on our restricted list, or maybe something you found or created that seems like it would need limits placed on it for it to be approved. You will fill out the template and follow the rules of this guide for the restricted power, detailing it, and then the staff will grade it and help it become approved. You can always opt to take a Flaw to make the power stronger, OR if the power is strong regardless of what you do to it, the staff member might require you to take a Flaw to get it regardless. Admins themselves(like me) will be in charge of restricted power permissions. ============================ The Template============================ Power Name: Self Explanatory Power Overview: Explain the basics of your power in about a paragraph, nothing specific needs to go here. Power Specifics: This is where specific things and limitations of your power goes, such as Blood Manipulation not being able to control your opponent's blood, or maybe you can control others' blood, but you must first perform some sort of ritual. | Lemme try this...: Power Name: Life Spark Power Overview: This power enables the user to manipulate a strange psionic energy, that is capable of giving limited life to artificial constructs, and augmenting other living organisms. Tier Overviews:
- Tier 1: In the Break Out tier, the user is capable of releasing an electric blue glow from their hands, which, on contact, surrounds the target in glowing circles and lines. If the target is a machine, the machine receives 'life' to function for 3 posts, regardless of whether it has a power source or not. The machine must have most of its parts functional for the power to work (for example, the user can touch a car without an engine or a battery, and then can drive it around for three posts). It can only power up machines about the size of an average car. If the target is a human being, the human being receives a little replenished stamina, without any healing. Finally, because of the surge of the Life Spark coursing through the individual's body, the user is always capable of superhuman physical feats, namely: strength, speed and invulnerability.
- Tier 2: In the Adept tier, the abilities in Tier 1 are magnified, and the Life Spark begins to gain a more powerful aura, adding flight to the abilities that the user has at their disposal. Now, it can power up machines the size of aeroplanes and average sized ships, and lasts for 5 posts. On contact with living things, besides healing from light injuries, they get a boon to strength and speed, for the duration of the Life Spark. Also, an organism empowered by the Life Spark can exist in an environment that does not support respiration (for as long as the Life Spark is active... for instance, a human can survive underwater or even outer space, provided the pressure and cosmic waves don't screw with him first).
- Tier 3: In the Champion tier, the abilities in Tier 2 are upgraded, with the addition of being able to emit powerful signatures of energy for offensive purposes (your average concussive blast) and even shielding. The range of the Life Spark can now cover up to 500 meters. It is capable of powering up Helicarriers and space stations, and lasts for 7 posts max. Living things receive healing from moderate injuries.
- Tier 4: In the Mastery tier, the Life Spark does not gain any new abilities, save that the abilities it had before have been augmented. The scope of the Life Spark can now cover roughly 3 kilometers, or the space of a small town. It is capable of powering a city-wide complex, and can last for 10 posts. Living things receive healing from heavy injuries, and although it cannot heal fatal injuries, the victims may remain alive for as long as the Life Spark flows through them.
Power Specifics: The Life Spark cannot work on seriously damaged machinery. If the machinery is still salvageable, it can be charged. Also, artificial intelligences still have a mind of their own, so if a Life Spark user powers up say, a robot, or computer with advanced intelligence, it is not obliged to submit to the Life Spark user's will, since it has a mind of its own. Simple, inflexible programming is usually bent to the Life Spark user's will. The Life Spark is incapable of healing Fatal injuries, but may only buy a little time. Finally, the Life Spark has absolutely no effect on dead organisms. Yup, no raising of the dead. Also, if an undead comes in contact with the Life Spark, it will feel a burning sensation, rather than healing. The sensation will be equal to an un-upgraded average fire/energy attack, depending of the rank of the Life Spark.

| Alright, first of all, the super specifics(the ranges and the % of physical attribute boons) will be covered in individual abilities, and follow the upgrade rules.
Secondly, this shouldn't heal as much as say, healing would, so make a note of that.
Other than that, this seems good. | |
