Senator Hines has revealed how mutants will be handled: Sentinels.
A rumor traveled the circles of the supernatural. Mutants heard a safe, underground railroad was being started, inquire at the Summit. The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

| The plane felt odd, Sean felt odd and the whole ordeal felt odd. His mother was not by his side, and not even his best friend could give him comfort, he was alone. Sean’s eyes drifted out towards the land below, thousands of feet below him as it fell away. He would be heading to a school, something that was his mother’s idea but he agreed to it reluctantly. She promised to visit him occasionally and of course Aaron would be there as well, so he wouldn’t be permanently alone. His hand rested under his chin, propping his head up as his mind drifted to other things. His blonde bangs falling over the blue eyes as they closed and he waited, waited for the plane to land. His legs craving the feel of substantially land below him instead of the aluminum plane he had been confined in for about five hours now. People would pass him a brief glance before returning to whatever they were doing, leaving him to his thoughts.
After what felt like hours the plane finally touched down, Sean being let off with sore joints as he was passed through the usual things. His luggage was given to him and he walked onward, soon arriving at the grounds of the school in question. The grass was well kept and overall it looked like a high end school, which made him wonder where his mother even got the money to send him to a place this fancy. Hopefully it wasn’t some form of illegal means, since he knew that she had the power to follow those pursuits and not fail really. Fire was a real motivator if you used it right. ”So this is the place? Looks pretty nice.” Sean muttered impressed as he rubbed his chin gingerly.
His foot made a step forward onto the crisp grass as it crunched beneath him, a sound that was almost welcome after hours on a plane. A single breeze blew past his face and caught itself up in his nostrils as his head felt like it would twirl. This was different than New York, he couldn’t place what it was but it felt far different. The black bag strapped over his shoulder suddenly felt heavier than it was before, as if his arm were suddenly unable to carry it anymore, yet he managed just fine. Here he was in a country that he did not understand a place without anyone he knew. Sean’s heart sank at the sudden realization yet he couldn’t back out now; could he?
That was when he realized that he may have been under dressed, wearing only his faded blue jeans, black graphic tee, as well as black and white converse. His blonde hair was in its usual messy but attractive style that swept over his eyes; not hiding them though. Hesitantly he stepped forward in the direction of what he perceived to be the front entrance, hopefully to find the administrative office or something. Anything to help him figure out what he would do next.

| The older man, Professor Luke Kagan, stood at the entrance of the school. He wore a clean pressed suit colored tan, with a black tie that was tucked beneath the opening of the suit. As the boy closed the distance, the man would give a kind smile while extending his hand for a hand shake. "Mr. Collin, I presume? Your mother has told me alot about you. Welcome to our school. Please follow me." The man's voice was slightly stern, but nothing that would intimidate those that arrived to the school. Opening the front entrance door, he would wait for the child to walk pass him before following in behind him. The school hallways were rather crowded with students. Some students didn't even appear human. Some had wings and other tails. Some were colored blue. The type of students enrolled were various, and it did take some getting used to when one was new to the school. "So Sean, if you do not mind me calling you your first name. When did you first discover your unique abilities?" | |

| Sean was met by who he assumed to be someone important at the school, putting on a small smile he shook the hand extended to him. He shook it not too limp and not too tightly; a perfect in between, so he thought anyway. The man seemed to have heard about him from his mother, which did not come to him as a massive surprise, since she was known to make sure he was well cared for wherever he went. She had given him the most basic of training but there was more to be learnt than what he now knew, he needed full control. People milled about the hallways, students with interesting mutations that were apparent on some more than others. Here he was not unique but in fact he was common and that actually felt pretty good. One of them noticed his eyes, forcing him to avert them as a slight blush crept across his cheeks. ”oh…my abilities?” Sean said snapping back into reality. ”About a year ago I guess, it was an accident I suppose, discovering my….abilities.” His eyes danced to the tile floor. Sean was never good at talking with people,it showed. | |

| "Nothing is ever an accident. Everyone has that time when they discover what they're truly capable of." The man spoke in a calm voice as he continued to walk the hallways of the large school. "We're here to help you understand what you're capable of. Like you, I'm a mutant aswell. Though my ability does not show, it helps me not only understand others, but help them become a better side of themselves. This, of course, while attempting to learn more about mutant kind as a whole." The man would take a right down the hallway, heading towards a large plethora of steps. "So tell me, Sean. What is your capability? I understand the outside world may see you as strange because of your mutation, but that is much different here. You'll be around friends, and family. You won't need to hide your gifts amongst friends." | |

| Sean was amongst friends but he didn’t exactly feel it. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe what he was saying, considering that it was quite convincing but Sean was always hesitant around new people. It was something in him that kept him only a hands distance away, close but so far. ”My capability?” he mimed absently eyes glued upon his palm as he thought of one thing. One thought that drove his entire power and that was water. He didn’t need much, just enough to demonstrate. A small orb of water about a baseballs size seemed to slowly blip into existence as he concentrated upon its forming, a transparent construct of water. The sphere hung suspended above his hand. ”I guess I can control water, shape it and move it with a thought.” he managed the explanation that sprung to his head in an instant.- Spoiler:
Name: Condensation Rank: C Power: Hydrokinesis Description: Concentrating upon the water molecules in the air,Sean can do what appears to be forming water out of nothing when in fact he is simple condensing water molecules. The more he is trying to form, the more he has to concentrate and the more vulnerable he would make himself. At the most he can form five gallons if he were to push himself.
Name: basic water manipulation Rank: C Power: Hydrokinesis Description: Sean is capable of moving water with a thought, from either a source or with great concentration a plant. He is unable to do more than splash someone with water, which honestly won’t do much. He can move the water with a thought but nothing more than that, capable of making basic shapes such as spheres and rings if he concentrates hard enough.

| The man watched with keen eyes as the boy demonstrated his ability. This was where the Professor's own capability came into play. Extending a hand over the sphere of water, he'd look towards the boy. "If you don't mind.." The Professor would begin to concentrate while looking at the sphere of water, and soon ripples would begin to form. Suddenly, the sphere the boy made would begin to split in half, making two spheres that were equal in size and shape. "Water Manipulation is just the beginning of what you'll be capable in the future, Sean. I'll help you unlock your true potential, here at the school. As long as you feel comfortable, I'll be willing to help you develop your abilities much faster than you would alone. And with fellow mutants around you, you'll be truly understood here." The man would pull his hand back, so the spheres of water were back in control of the boy. "Follow me. I'll lead you to your room. I hope you don't mind having room mates." The man gave a smile before turning on a dime and heading down a light filled corridor. - Spoiler:
Name: Ability Learning Rank: C Power: Mentorship Description: The user can copy other powers simply by learning how to use them. By observing the desired ability and focusing upon it, the user will be able to copy it
Name: Ability Intuition Rank: C Power: Mentorship Description: By seeing an ability at work, the user can intuitively understand how it works, how to control it, and how to master it. The user can teach others how to control their abilities once seeing their power. Alternatively the user can also be able to develop a countermeasure if they understand an ability long enough to figure out it's weaknesses.

| The man showed his ability, which was an interesting one indeed. He was actually able to replicate Sean’s ability, taking control of the water and splitting it into two equally sized orbs. Sean raised an eyebrow as the man explained that his power could do more, that there was more than simply manipulating water. Maybe he could be truly powerful, a hero like he had heard about from scattered sources. This would be a place that he would learn more about his powers, learn to full understand them. Blue eyes gazed upon the spheres now once again under his control as he willed them to become one again. ”Roommates?” Sean muttered feeling himself flush but kept a straight face. ”No, I don’t mind.” he said following after the professor until the room came into view. This was where things got….interesting. | |

| The man opened the door to reveal a rather large room that held three separate beds. He would lead Sean within the room, walking towards the window sill to let in some fresh air. "This will be your room. The bed on the far right is unoccupied, so I'd suggest setting up camp there." The man turned towards the student with a kind hearted smile. "Well I'll leave you to get situated in here. Your schedule will be brought to you later on in the day. Just get a good grasp of the school grounds for now." Professor Kagan would give the boy a slight bow before heading towards the door. Standing at the entrance of the room, he'd look back to give Sean one last look. "Sean, I believe you'll grow into something great. Something about you tells me that you're destined to do much good in this world. I look forward to seeing you grow, son." Placing his hands into his pockets, the Professor would leave the room so the boy could have his privacy. | |
