It's All a Part of the Plan (Scarecrow, Blaine, Thanatos)

So there they suddenly were the symbiote and the plant, the two most foreign looking of the new group called by some as the Collective. "Well Scarecrow, you can call me Ray, and us Hiim" the symbiote said with a smile that sprouted up from his face. They had appeared in an abandoned field where many flaura and fauna bloomed like thousands of children reaching to grab their food from father sun. In the middle of the field a whole forty five yards from Hiim, forty six from Scarecrow. Thanatos stood still with his eyes closed right underneath a powerline that lead from a near by power plant to a distant city. Interesting how things worked out like that so utterly perfect, Hiim thought as rain began to pour from the sky as it darkened and boomed.

It seemed as if the gods themselves were having a battle above, though Hiim knew much better than that. It was simply the weather, a regular ol thunder storm and where there was thunder there most certainly was lighting. In fact every so often the sky would light up with a blue flash, there was one such flash mere seconds after they arrived and acting fast Hiim redirected it to connect with the man standing below the lines. There was many many other bolts that arced and jetted, racing through the sky like chariots in an old race since forgotten by humanity.

"Well let's get this bloke and get going" Hiim said as he drug the electricty from the lines and moved it to where Thanatos did where it would connect with him with over a thousand amps of electricty if he did not move, if he did Hiim would simply redirect it to his new position. If there was any attacks lodged at him, Hiim would blink out of the way and over to one of the hills surrounding the area depending on the attack.

It had begun the wheels of time were turning and hopefully nobody would stop them since if they didnt have Thanatos they would not be able to save the world.

It was perhaps bitter sweet, Scarecrow didn't actually like lightning, but he did like the rain. They popped into existence, and instantly Scarecrow was greeted with what, some might consider children. Scarecrow was instantly assulted by what some might consider the cries of thousands, maybe more of children, all saying different things. Hello, your new, I'm flower, sun not out, water nice, loud, hello, your new, sun gone, sky wet, loud, hello, your new. Such things perhaps for someone without an advantage of being a plant might overwhelm. But Scarecrow found solice in it, joy almost. He was here among his kin, even if they were well, much like children, they still were warm and pleasant. Scarecrow missed that in these creatures, plants were competitive, cannibalistic, but never cruel or mean, they took what they needed and that was that. He reached out to them, comforted them, and asked them questions. He didn't pay much mind to the other man, either here or there, but rather took a back seat approach, gathered resources and claimed a mental map one might say. It was a ingenious strategy, he could map out the entire surrounding acre's just by talking to those plants. He knew where the grew, what they grew, settlements all of that fun stuff. However, this thunderstorm stuck out like a sore thumb, and it really wasn't a pleasant experience to witness such an event. However, Hiim, or Ray or Hiimray or Rayhiim was doing something that needed to be done.

Thinking about it, Scarecrow didn't want to see such efforts be wasted on calamity jane over there. He couldn't stand to watch all these flowers suffer because of what needed to be done. So Scarecrow did what needed doing. Communing with the plants, he watched from ironically about a meter behind Hiimray as the flowers bloomed into existence. They looked wonderful as they slide up the metal, almost like vines, but no they were just flowers. After reaching the top, they would stretch out even more, screaming towards the sky, lavish in the rain, its bittersweet taste refreshing. Scarecrow took a few steps back from Hiimray in the direction away from the other man, basically he moved away from them all, not to the side, just behind both of them. Enough that should an attack occur, it wouldn't hit both of them, just hit Hiimray as he was more visible in the rain that Scarecrow, especially considering the dark colors, falling rain, lack of light. They crept over each other, like little insects reaching towards a piece of food. They were several dozen meters above the metal power tower, it was at this moment that they attached lightning, being like a lightning rod. Using those flowers like a conduit would give a most likely unfair advantage to a certain someone, or perhaps allow him to use more power than such creatures could provide burning or whatever it is they did for power. These creatures sure were interesting to watch.

Before the first bolt hit, Hiim twisted most of its power off to join the second bolt and sent that straight into the sky to burst into light among the clouds. The little energy that remained was enough to render Thanatos unconscious. Walking over Hiim would scoop the man up and smile "Almost ready, meet me back in chicago if you want" the symbiote said turning back to his partner with a two fingered salute that he then brought to his forehead.

"Instant transmission!" he yelled before winking out, some jokes just never got old.

Scarecrow stayed out in the flowers, watching the whole event, perhaps it was just himself, but he felt rather odd sitting out here, the flowers gave him some information, the man had been here for quite some time. Perhaps he had left this world and only his husk remained, but that seemed to be what Hiimray was after. His very body underwent a small surge when the lightning reached the man. Scarecrow was not certain about what was occurring, however he held no far remorse for what occurred. A necessity that was to be handled.

With instructions to return to chicago, Scarecrow was most concerned about the lack of plant life there, in fact there were hardly any forests in that city, unlike here which yearned for each other. With what seemed like a forever stance, Hiimray had walked over towards now unconscious man and bore him away. It appeared as if his powers of teleportation was quite unique. Scarecrow stood for a few moments, his mind wondered into the field, like a bolt of lightning across the sky, he was neither here nor there. He was across the hill, into the forest, down a valley, back on the hill, talking, listening, seeing all those things the plants felt. He returned to his body, and decided it was time to return to the house where he didn't wish to see the results of such actions. He actually wished to find a place full of interesting things as this. But with that, his mind wondered back towards that building, back towards those people, and he was gone, back to that place without a thought in his head.
