It was in the middle of night in Athens for the typical Greek citizen in the city. The weather was good, the people were asleep, animals ran the streets, and the young lovers of the city clung to each other dearly. However tonight would be the last ordinary night for Athens. Tonight the Gods would claim what was first under there possession many years ago. Athens would be the first city to call and soon after Naxos and Sparti followed by the other cities of Greece. The rest of Europe would follow. Tonight the Gods would unleash the beasts of Olympus and Hades in one collective effort to control the faith of humanity. However the earth was a much different place than it was thousands of years ago. Extraordinary beings called Heroes, Villains, and Aliens now lived on the earth. Earth was inhabited by otherworldly beings, which intrigued the gods with other potential people to conquer. It seemed that for now they would start small and simple. They would start where it all began.
To the average person it seemed that storm clouds were rolling in from the peaks. However these were no ordinary clouds. These clouds appeared bright and majestic, a cloud full of light that you would see during the day. The clouds were crackling with lightning and the rolling of thunder. As the clouds positioned themselves over Athens completely lightning would begin to arc through the sky and strike the ground. It seemed these strikes hit precise points as if someone was sending them from the clouds. Every time the lightning hit the ground, a man in armor would come out of the ground. His skin would be gray and his eyes black while his armor would shine because of its golden design. This was the Goddess' royal army, and they were tasked with killing everyone they encountered save the children as they were the future of Greece. As lightning continued to strike down upon the city plumes of smoke would follow as her army of 300 strong began to tear the city apart. Bullets and grenades would do little against her army as they were already dead. It seemed only heavy ordinance would bring the undead Spartans back to Hades. And because of their element of surprise they had some time before the countries meek military could be mobilized and by then, the leadership would already be dead.
Alethia walked the steps of the Maximos Mansion, the residence of the Prime Minister. She was greeted by two soldiers flanking the front door. She threw her spear with great might, pinning the soldier to the right to the wall with the spear that was now in his stomach. She made quick strides and quickly bashed the man on the left with her shield, sending him into the wall. She walked up to the recovering man and stomped on his face, quickly reducing it to something much less attractive than Medusa. Alethia kicked the front door off its hinges. To no surprise she was met with more resistance, but it only took a minute to deal with them. Inevitably she reached the bedroom of the prime minister who was armed along with his last two remaining guards and they took no time in opening fire on the Goddess. In a flash of light she appeared behind them. She stabbed the Minister in the back with her weapon and then followed suite with the other two. In a matter of seconds the leader of the Greek Nation was dead. Olympus ruled once more.
As she walked back to the entrance she overlooked the city in ruin as plumes of smoke, helicopters, and jet airplanes dominated the sky. No matter, the city would soon belong to Zeus, and Europe would be soon to follow.
