Nameless in China Empty
PostSubject: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyTue Aug 21, 2012 12:47 am

The chill of night was in the air as the transition between autumn and winter was finally rounded out . A winter night in China like this was only ventured out upon by those who really needed to in order to make ends meet or those who were brave enough to risk possible theoretical hypothermia. Tonight was one of those nights. High atop the mountain of the foreign country stood a lone figure looking out into the chill of the night as the sounds of the city reminded him of times long past. Times he, right now yearned for. As snowflakes slowly began to fall, Nameless brought his long black overcoat tighter about him to protect from the cold winter chill. The man, with snowflakes becoming decor in his long black hair, then heard a familiar WHOOSH sound followed by the fall of footsteps behind him. Nameless kept his steely blue gaze out at the city skyline, the lights of buildings flickering in the darkness, depicting the active animal that China was in the night. There was a rumbling noise that echoed loudly in his ears. The floor seemed to vibrate beneath his feet, sending a tingling sensation through every bone of his body. There was piercing bursts of light cutting through the darkness like a knife and blinding him in fleeting bursts. Sweat seeped from the corners of his face in the oppressive heat. He knew then that he was in the right place.

PostSubject: Re: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyWed Aug 22, 2012 12:42 am

The village of Tianlong believed in old customs and remained isolated in their mountainous area. The villagers all knew each other in their small settlement, and had been protected by Order for quite some time. The Order kept their people honest. Through either respect or fear, no one really knew. There was one thing known however. If you were to commit a crime within Tianlong, you would disappear that night, never to be seen again. The only sign that someone had been taken was a simple black rose left on their front doorstep. It was small and subtle, but carried a heavy meaning in the long run. Anyway, this new comer to the village immediately warranted attention. They never had visitors..Well unless the visitor was not here for them, but for the knights of the Order instead. People made sure to avoid this newcomer for now. It was not their place to speak or interact with him as of yet.

Squatting down on a small village hut a few meters behind the man, a certain individual had glided down and landed softly on their feet. Their crimson wings slowly merged back within their body silently, as two amber eyes peered out behind a full face mask that covered not only the mouth, but the head and hair aswell. The only visible section of the face would be the eyes, and the narrow bridge of the nose. The clothing consisted of a mixture of black and silver cloth, with shoulder plates, and a chest plate that came down to the stomach in a "V" shape. The legs and footing were basic black gear.

This figure would tilt its head, standing up on the edge of the hut, and crossing their arms over their chest. "You're late. I expected you here much sooner, but perhaps you enjoy the dark."

PostSubject: Re: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyWed Aug 22, 2012 1:21 am

Yet he was genuinely glad for a change of scenery. Nameless was growing weary of America, with its fast-paced arrogance, its general stupidity and the cloud of paranoia that had been hanging over the population since Washington. He was longing for his homeland.....it wasn't the bowls of hell that was where he was imprisoned. He was speaking of the Dark Force realm where his power thrived. He felt the man's presence and he heard the man's words and he took a slight pause of silence before he continued on. " I was born in the darkest pits of hell where I clawed my way free only to end up in the Darkest realm in the universe. I was born in the darkness, moulded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding....." He would not turn to look at the man he merely gazed up at the stars awaiting whatever trials the man had in store for him. There would be another moment of awkward silence but though this would not end until the man spoke. It was clear he was part of the order he was just not sure what his status was exactly.

"Is that so? We'll see by the end of your initiation.." Sliding off the hut, the masked man would land on his feet with grace. "Follow me." Walking towards the mountain side, the Assassin would put a hand against the rugged stone and slowly make his way towards the edge of the cliff that had nothing but wilderness below. Looking over the cliff, his head would turn to the left to take a look at a rather large waterfall about fifty meters down from their current position. It was surprising the water wasn't frozen over. Switching his body over the edge of the cliff, he'd hold onto the wall, before kicking off the wall and down towards a tree. Grabbing a tree branch, he'd flip around a number of times before flipping off the branch and into the air. Coming down towards the rocky side of the waterfall, he'd cling to the wall and slide down the wall, behind the waterfall, with precision. Once sliding to a stop, the masked man would look over his shoulder to see if the man followed. If so, he'd direct his attention towards two large metal and wood doors that blocked the cavern off. The entrance of the stronghold. Standing at the door way were two Assassins dressed in the same way as the guide. They seemed to be guarding the large crimson steel doors that blocked anyone from entering the stronghold. "And here we are. Are you ready for your test, Nameless one?"

PostSubject: Re: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyWed Aug 22, 2012 4:36 pm

"So we shall" He stated as he followed closely behind the man performing a handspring off the hut following closely behind the man. When the man said follow him he simply nodded as he walked behind him to the mountain side. he would watch the man place his hand against the stone and guide him towards the cliff end where there was only the unforgiving land beneath. It was then that he noticed the waterfall a moderate distance from there location. He would look over to see that was the focal point of the man's gaze as well. He would watch the man gracefully navigate his way through the obstacles and Nameless would follow closely scaling down the wall before flipping off to a tree beside the one the man had grasped a branch from and he would perform his own aerial array of flips, turns, twists and other acrobatics. Upon his final jump to the waterfall he would simply hover through the air until he was on the other side of the waterfall a few seconds behind his escort. He saw the man look behind him to see if Nameless was still close and a simple grin and shake of his head was given in response. It was then that he was directed towards a pair of doors that blocked the entrance or maybe it was an exit. It was here that he would see two more of the members guarding the area that wore the same garbs. "I see originality and style aren't really a priority here. Is that part of the super secret assassin kit or is that outfit sold separately" That would be the response to the man's question of if he was ready hoping the sarcasm was an answer in itself. But in case it wasn't he would and the guy was the all brawn and no brains type he would give a positive confirmation. "Shall we get this started?"

PostSubject: Re: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyThu Aug 23, 2012 2:44 pm

"You really have a mouth on you, don't you?" The man spoke with a blatant tone, as the large crimson doors opened partially. There was a dim light coming through from the other side, but once a figure walked through the opening, the doors would immediately close. The figure that walked through the door was a slightly older woman wearing what appeared to be a demonic looking mask. In her hand was a golden cup lined with rubies on the outer rim. The colors were varied and seemed to shine in the dim light provided by the dancing flames on the walls. The man who led the Nameless one into the cavern would reach into his chest plate and remove a black rose. Walking towards the woman, he would begin to speak once more. "The mind is a powerful tool to those who master it. However, the stronger the mind, the stronger the backlash when it is turned against you. One could find themselves trapped in their own personal hell, thanks to their own mind." The masked man grabbed the cup and placed the black rose within the red liquid within it. Spinning the golden laced cup in his hand, he'd watch the crimson drink begin to turn black in color. "Here in the Order, we've harnessed the mind using herbs to not only allow complete control of it, but also the control to fight through the backlash when it is turned against us. The herbs collected from this man made Black Rose acts as a powerful hallucinogen that stimulates the mind. It puts the mind through stress that can cause one to go completely insane, if they do not pass the trials they are put through. One of our members we initiated passed literally at the last second. The toll her test put her through did later cause her to go insane, so she was excommunicated when we lost control of her actions." The man lowered a portion of his mask, lifting the cup towards his lips to take a slight sip of the black liquid. Lowering the cup, he'd replace the mask. "It was a shame, she had potential to be one of the best. The higher ups believe she didn't go insane from the test. That her insanity came from childhood and was only enhanced thanks to the trials. Hopefully the same does not happen to you, One without a Name." The man made his way back towards the demon and handed him the cup. "Drink the liquid and your trials shall begin."

"You really have a mouth on you, don't you?" The man said to him. An eyebrow shot up with amusement as he snickered a bit. "Yea about that....I'm fresh out of strong and silent" He covered the corners of his mouth as though he intended to whisper and spoke in a muffled yet audible tone. "The silent but deadly routine kinda went out last year. Though at least you guys have the mysterious spooky look down. Old Celtic stones check...Dim lights check....Mystical goblet check.....you guys have done your homework." He would kill the sarcasm only long enough to let the man speak of the mind. "The mind huh....you don't say?" he would merely listen to the next comments as he was a smart ass yet this was still their game and he needed to know how it was supposed to be played. z'It puts the mind through stress that can cause one to go completely insane, if they do not pass the trials they are put through. One of our members we initiated passed literally at the last second. The toll her test put her through did later cause her to go insane, so she was excommunicated when we lost control of her actions." He absorbed this information specifically listening to the enhancement of emotions and feelings. He continued listening about this mysterious woman that the man spoke of. He would have to do more research later. After that was said the man offered him a sip of what was in the cup. "Ummmm ok....Introducing a unknown chemical substance into my system so I can see hallucinations? I could have stayed in D.C. for that. There are plenty of healthy and capable drug dealers there." With that said he would grab the cup and take a sip.

Ignoring the man's words, the Assassin would remove the cup from his hands. It was like talking to an underground comedian who couldn't get any sort of work. Even after drinking the liquid, it would appear as though nothing had changed within the cave, and the effects were null. The masked man would hand the cup back to the woman and would point towards the exit where they had came. Instead of a water fall, and frozen winds, there would be a vast desert in its place. One could even feel the intense heat coming from the sun. "Let's go." The masked man jumped out the entrance of the cave, landing down into the desert sands below. "Let's begin with the first trial." The sands began to shift and turn, forming into multiple constructs that resembled the masked man (7). Crossing his arms, the man would step to the side. "First test is combat prowess." The sand constructs would draw their blades and hold them slightly out infront of their body. Strafing around the man, and keeping him towards the center, the multiple assassins would begin to close the distance from a six meter radius, to a three meter radius. The original masked man stood off to the side with his arms crossed. "Be aware of your surroundings. Though I'm sure I don't need to remind you of such a thing."

PostSubject: Re: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyMon Aug 27, 2012 11:41 pm

The silly demeanor that accompanied the usual wise crack would vanish almost instantly as eyes turned a crimson red. He wasn't sure of their capabilities or even their substance. Where they still sand or sand turned flesh. Apparently seeing as they had swords this would not be a hand to hand contest. There was no particular stance being taken at this time his eyes simply gazed at them as they closed in. He would simply put out an outstretched hand where ripples flowed through the air in a globe like manner. As he did so his eyes turned a deeper crimson and his face turned into a scowl. However he himself did not have to attack in order to form an offensive as his shadow split into two and and began to expand until it was close to 60 ft each. The sun would hinder his use of darkness yet it provided the necessities in order to use shadows efficiently. These giant shadows went from 2 dimensional miasmas of intangible force to colossal 3 dimensional figures that would begin stomping the copies under it's heel before they could completely close in to their desired range. There were no rules given in this trial so he would not hold back.

PostSubject: Re: Nameless in China   Nameless in China EmptyWed Aug 29, 2012 2:58 am

The masked figure watched the Nameless one destroy the sand constructs with some kind of dark miasma turned solid. "You weren't lying when you said the darkness molded you. However, don't rely on it." The moment the last word left his lips, two pair of hands emerged from the sands below the Nameless one, attempting to grab his ankles. Slowly the sand constructs began to reform around him, as the two hands pulled him down into the sands attempting to partially bury his body from the waist below. The sand constructs began releasing a plethora of sand shuriken towards the man that curved through the air to circumvent the shadow constructs. Another pair of sand assassins would burst from the sands below, flipping six feet in the air and coming down towards the Nameless one with axe kicks aimed for his shoulders.

He figured that these sand beings weren't done for. "There is always a catch..." he said as they attempted to grab his legs. However reflexively his Darkforce suit responded forming spinning blades that would shred the sand hands to pieces if they followed through with trying to grab him. He would then look at the masked man and smile. "I don't rely on the darkness...but right now maybe you should." As he spoke those words the orb of rippled energy he held in his outstretched hand would detonate just as the sand projectiles came his way. Although his own psions would not harm him his suit again reflexively covered him in a dark force coating that would neutralize the positive energy the blast gave off. The blast was large enough in radius to catch those who would leap toward him in the air and those below him. Now if the masked man avoided the blast it was his turn to act.

Once again, the man overcompensated with an adequate defense and offense combined. The man would raise an arm to cover his face, as the telekinetic force would cause the sand to pick up and be shot outward at a high rate of speed. Narrowing his eyes behind his mask, as he had been pushed back during the explosion, he simply released a grunt. "That was interesting to say the least. I suppose the first trial is complete then." The sands would begin to vanish into dust, and the vast desert they originally were standing in was now transformed back into the damp entrance of the cavern. Placing his arms behind his back, the large crimson doors would open to reveal a long series of dark tunnels ahead. There were three paths to take. The left. The right. The center. "Choose a path and your second test will begin. I'm aware you have prowess when it comes to combat, but I wonder if the same can go for strategy aswell." The masked man would rub his chin in curiosity before facing the Nameless one again.

He had released his explosion and looked around only to hear the masked man's words. He gave a slight chuckle and would walk toward him. "Well right is normally right....center is the core indecisiveness...so left we go!" With that said the Nameless one would take the left path. He would stride to the left not overly cautious but on mental high alert just in case Mr. Spooky guardian guy wanted to throw some more surprises at him. Though he could not help but think about the woman the man described. He would have to meet that tormented soul one day. A mentally unstable highly trained assassin was running around. He was sure she would not be that hard to find. As he was walking the boy who delivered him the message also popped in his head. Why him? There were a few questions he would need to get answers to but first thing was first.

The masked man watched the Nameless one choose a path. Instead of simply reading his mind to choose the easiest path, he just winged it instead. The masked man was surprised to say the least, as the man disappeared in the darkness of the far left cavern. As the man traveled down the cavern the shadows would begin to shift around him. Following him, while dancing off the flickers of the small flames that lined the walls. The shadows would extend from the walls infront of him, forming a sort of webbing that resemble a face. "I have a question for you, Nameless one. As I climb a tree, there were two apples hanging from the stem. I did not pick apples I did not leave apples. I did not leave the tree without fruit in hand. What has occurred here?"

He whistled as he walked down watching the shadows bend and manipulate and all that other mystical stuff til they finally formed a face. "Thank you!! finally we cut to the chase." he stated before listening. "Riddles.....like seriously......top tier assassins tests are riddles.....Sam I am green eggs and ham" he said to himself before facing the face. "I'll give it a shot....you got two apples hanging from a stem. Their is no specification or anything you said that indicates that they belong to the tree. Though that would be over thinking things. If you didn't pick them, you didn't leave them, and you still walked away with them then you probably only picked one. " could'a been right could have been wrong Nameless hated riddles and cryptic sh*t. He would deal with whatever the consequences were if he were wrong.

"Seems like someone had some outside help with that, keke." The shadows laughed at the man's answer to the riddle before breaking apart and allowing him passage. If the man continued, he'd find himself through the cavern where a number of Assassins would line the candle lit walls. Far at the end of the pathway would be the masked man that was his guide throughout the entire trial. Beside him would be the pale haired boy that originally met the Nameless one. "Yo, Nii-chan. I see you got pass the redundant initiation. I remember when I did mine, I they put me out in the middle of a lake an-" Echo was cut off by the masked man. "Congratulations on passing the trial. I must admit, after seeing your prowess against the sand creations, I was abit curious on how exactly you came across such power. Our own resident mutant seems to have forgotten his past, but can somehow pick up on other powers quite easily. Like yourself, he simply wandered without a real purpose. Power without any means to direct it. Living off whims alone. We brought you here, Nameless one, so your talents could be put to use." The Assassins that lined the walls would bow at this time. "The Order of the Black Rose would be honored to accept your presence in this organization."

Nameless listened to the outside help remark and smiled "hey whatever works" he would keep walking until he entered the cabin where a number of assassins were present within the area. There he saw a familiar face. It was the young man who had originally sent him the message. He listened to him congratulate him on completing the trial , Of course another snide remark was going to be made but he halted as he felt something going wrong. He felt off then there were the words that echoed through his head "LET ME OUT!!!!!!!" it was then that he fell to his knees holding his head his eyes were turned red...it wasn't the red he normally flashed but as if they were filled with blood. Then his pupils flashed yellow and a cross between an anguished yell and a bellow came from him as elongated fangs and claws were shown before they slowly retracted. For a moment he looked puzzled as if he did not know where he was or what he was doing. Though he quickly adjusted himself and his head canted curiously. "I am honored to be here....." his tone was darker than before as the wisecracking serial killer seemed to vanish and a more serious and mature demeanor took president. "Take me to the world...it has been some time since I have seen the light of day....".
