Senator Hines has revealed how mutants will be handled: Sentinels.
A rumor traveled the circles of the supernatural. Mutants heard a safe, underground railroad was being started, inquire at the Summit. The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

| A machine only known as "The Hornet" was rocketing through the skies at an extremely fast speed, surveying the small people below. The scanners were active and in overdrive, trying to find any hint of the mutant gene among the populace. There were a few people that stood out, but the mutant gene hadn't actually manifested itself, so they were extremely low priority targets and would be cleansed later. The hornet didn't quite have a mind or emotions, it was a simple machine programmed to do a simple task, and that was to eliminate mutants. The arsenal it had at it's disposal was perfect for something like this, and as it made it's way through the skies, people stopped and wondered what it was. People stopped and asked it it was some sort of jet or advanced weather balloon, although it was a bright yellow color, from it's height, it appeared that it could be almost anything. It slowed down considerably over the heavily populated area, and the police weren't doing anything, because they were called by the military saying it was simply a training exercise, or other such lie. So, the civilians weren't panicking yet, but that would surely change once the hornet found a mutant that was able to do much of anything, and there was probably going to be a lot of collateral damage.

| "Hey! Bug thing, hey!" A girl wearing her usual Ms. Flash costume would be standing on a building parallel to the hornet. She, herself, was about 7 meters to the right of the mechanical bug, and waved her hands towards it. "Bug thing! Can I take a ride on your back? And if you're a person under there, where'd you get the cool suit? Ever plan on selling it on ebay? I'd totally give the first bid!" Ms. Flash would give a few giggles, as she placed a hand on her hip and simply watched the bug's show. Since the people weren't panicking, she figured it was just some publicity stunt or something. That was cool..she guessed. | |

| Suddenly, the scanner on the robot picked up the signature of a super being, and immediately honed onto it. It seemed that there was a person on top of a roof that was taunting the machine, but it didn't have any sort of emotion, so it had no way of responding to her taunt except with firepower. The right wing started to whirr a bit, before sending a bolt of electricity onto the roof, attempting to shock and stun the woman that was now the target. If it missed, it would damage the roof, sending dust and debris around, and decreasing the stability of the roof. The robot quickly stopped, and hovered at around 10 meters from the top of the building, ready to activate the thrusters to chase down or avoid whatever came out of the dust, or simply waiting to eliminate the target. The sun was glaring, and directly overhead, giving the robot a clear view of the target should she leave the dust. The whirring of the wings would also stir up the dust, giving the woman only seconds of cover, should she need it. As the robot did so, the people on the street would see some debris falling their way and start to panic. Everyone would run away from the building, just in case, and start shouting up towards the robot, saying that it did damage to the building in whatever such way their imagination said, because it was nearly impossible for them to see exactly what the robot did that high up in the buildings. | |

| Flash's eyes would widen as the sparks began to gather at the hornet's wing. "Oh crap.." Was the only words that would be said, as the mechanic bug shot what appeared to be some flash of electricity towards her. With her own burst of speed, she'd turn and take off at 100mph, jumping from the roof as the projectile smashed into the roof and caused debris to fly. The jump got her clear out of the way with the pure momentum backing the length behind it, sending her several meters to the next roof top. Stopping in a skid, she'd wave an arm up towards the robotic bug. "Was my joke that lame that you shot me?! Not cool!" Sticking her tongue out at the monster, she'd take off in an orange blur, running down the side of the building and then hitting the streets. Not stopping for a second, she'd continue to look over her should at the beast, not wanting to lose eye contact. With the streets practically empty, this allowed her to run at a measly 90mph. "Why the hell did it attack me? My jokes can't be that freaking bad!" - abilities:
—Name: Dash Master —Specialty: Physical Prowess —Rank: C —Description: The user is in tune with speed and can therefore deal with other fast objects/people that are atleast 10% above her current speed level or below with ease.
—Name: Superhuman Speed —Rank: C —Power: Super Speed —Description: These characters immediately understand how to run at superhuman speeds and their bodies instinctively understand how to react at high-speed situations. An amateur speedster can move at 70 mph which is below sonic booms allowing them to react to situations without causing civilians undo stress. A lesser application of super-speed is also entitled within this, giving the ability to move individual parts of their body at their maximum rate of speed, independent from that of the rest of their body. When in motion, the user appears to be a blur. C - 70mph B - 250mph A - 500mph S - 700mph
Name: Increased Perception Rank: C Power: Super Speed Description: Tara possesses the ability to alter her perceptions so that falling objects can appear to be standing still and can be caught and moved back to their normal position. She can do this so quickly as to have it happen invisibly to the normal human eye. She can strike a single opponent multiple times in a second or multiple opponents two or three times in a second. She can disarm or jam any number of opponents weapons before they are even aware of her movement [if she sneaks up on them] and can hurl small projectiles at speeds that match her own.
Name: Supercharged Brain Activity Rank: C Power: Super Speed Description: Tara's mental abilities are also increased in speed, simple computations can be done at lightning speeds, and her ability to perform normal feats at increased speeds has allowed her to move sandbags to cover a beach or search an entire area for something as small as a paper clip. Tara can also read at super-speed, but rarely takes advantage of this ability to learn at increased speeds. Those attempting to read her mind will have a difficult time, as the thoughts and memories run through it at overdrive. This does not mean she is immune. If her rank is the same as the Telepath, it will take an extra minute [post] to sort through the chaos in her brain and effect it. If her rank is below the Telepath, it'll be no problem to read it and effect it. If it is above the Telepath's it could take up to two minutes [posts] to get clear information and effect it. For each rank above the Telepath, the more minutes [posts]. Add one minute [post] with each letter rank above.
Name: Superhuman Endurance Rank: C Power: Super Speed Description:This character can keep up physical movement without taking a break, allowing them to keep running at a prolonged time without needing to take a break or catch a second wind. She can keep running at full speed for 30 minutes straight without having to stop for a second, nor lose her focus and concentration.
Name: Speedster Aura Rank: C+ Power: Super Speed Description: People who are propelled by high speed can survive the harsh conditions associated with mach speeds. If say a user must rescue an individual from a burning building these individuals will be protected while within an aura. Tara's aura is specifically an orange light and protects her from friction and small debris [small rocks - objects] at C rank. Allows her to strike durable forms of matter such as brick walls and steel at B rank without breaking bones. Allows her to appear like a speeding bullet at A rank, and shred through anything that is concussive [sharp piercing objects and attacks will pierce the aura. Only durable forms of matter such as walls and people will be tore through], tearing through it with pure speed. Those she carries while running can also be surrounded in this aura if she wills it.
Name: After Image Rank: D Power: Super Speed Description: Tara moves her body so fast while dodging that she can generate after images that can confuse the opponent into attacking them, leaving them open for a fool proof counter attack. This diversion works best in close quarters combat.

| The robot would see the woman quickly blur, and jump to an opposite roof, starting to run down the side of a building. The robot would follow, but instead use the skies to make sure it didn't lose sight of the woman, as she ran through the street. He lowered itself to street level, which allowed the robot to reach only 100 mph flight speed, and he was catching up to the woman. The electricity charged again, and then fired in front of the woman, trying to read where she would go. This was more of a test, to see how much speed she had control of, but it was still an attack none the less. As the electric blast shot forward, it was aimed in front of her, but still only slightly higher than her. so, if she slowed down, it would still zoom over her head, causing her hair to stand on end from pure static electricity alone, so it would be a very close call should she decide not to turn. If she did start weaving left and right, avoiding his blast, the robot would simply fire random shots in front of her, attempting to have her run into one of the shots randomly. | |

| To think the bug would follow her, it really must have wanted her head. Keeping up a steady pace as it rapidly gained on her, she would see the projectile's trajectory and exactly where it was aimed before it was even released. This gave her enough forewarning to decelerate by lowering her speed, leaving an after image ahead of her as she pushed back. Bending down, the bug would fly completely over her head and body, missing by just a few inches. Flash took this opportunity to suddenly speed up into a jump, latching onto the leg of the hornet and hanging on below the flying beast. The position it put her in was practically under the hornet's belly, keeping the flames from the jet separated from her entirely. This also put her out of its point of view, and area of attack with its wings, unless it planned on shooting through itself. Holding on with her left arm, and vibrating her right, she'd begin to repeatedly punch into the bottom of the robot, pulling any wires and cords out of its belly she could. "Time for a time out! You've been a bad little bug today!" Flash made sure to keep an eye on the ground aswell, just incase the hornet tried to crash down to get her off. If that happened, she had something instore for it. - Abilities:
Name: After Image Rank: D Power: Super Speed Description: Tara moves her body so fast while dodging that she can generate after images that can confuse the opponent into attacking them, leaving them open for a fool proof counter attack. This diversion works best in close quarters combat.
Name: Infinite Mass Strike Rank: C+ Power: Super Speed Description: By traveling at great speeds, the user can acquire the relativistic mass of such speed to land blows which can hit with tremendous force. Depending on the max speed the user is running will determine just how strong this attack will become. When dealing with obstacles, the user can use this ability to rip through brick [steel at atleast B rank] and other forms of durable matter.
Name: Piercing Blow Rank: C Power: Super Speed Description: Vibrating a single limb at super human speeds, the user uses the friction gathered on the Speed Force Aura to super heat it. This allows the user to use the said heat to pierce through durable forms of matter and leave 2nd degree burns in their wake. Once piercing through, the user can continue to vibrate the specific limb, further damaging whatever they pierced from inside - out. Leaving internal burns and bruising.
Name: Durability Rank: C Power: Super Speed Description: Having super speed involves the user having a super toned body. Tara is abnormally more durable than the next guy. At C rank, physical blunt damage is less effective. She can be sent through brick walls, knocked in the head with blunt objects, etc, and will not break bones. However, she will still have bruises and bleeding. Her body is just tone enough to absorb most of the damage if there is any.
Name: Accelerated Probability Rank: C Power: Accelerated Probability Description: When focusing [eye sight] on a single object/projectile from an opponent, Ms. Flash can predict the path they will take precisely, allowing her to dodge with ease. The outcomes she sees only goes up to five seconds, giving her a brief look on the trajectory of the object before it is unleashed, allowing her to perform a flawless dodge. Once finding the best point of action to take, she can utilize her super speed to follow through for the best results in a dodge or counter attack. This does not read the opponent themselves, but does read anything they may be using as a projectile or extension of themselves [such as a pole or blade]. This means punches and kicks, and frontal normal hand to hand based attacks will not be predicted and the user will have to rely on their own abilities to deal with them. An Example - Seeing the trajectory of a bullet before it reaches its target. This works on one object/projectile at a time.

| As was expected, when the extra weight was added to the leg of the robot, the mas lifted up slightly, and started to go up and down, trying to shake her off. However, the girl was yanking out wires with force with a vibration type fist attack, which was messing up with the navigation. She might not have noticed where the robot was going because of her position, but he was headed straight for a business building. As the robot reached the building, it tried to turn up and fly straight, but it's navigation wiring was a bit messed up, so it simply went higher and smashed into the building. The robot was smoking, and the girl was most likely in the building with her, and the robot started smoking. The energy source it was running off was already damaged, and you could tell that there would be an explosion soon. After a small delay, there was a small fire out of the robot's core, and then the robot exploded with the force of a military strength high explosive grenade. The shock wave itself would be disorienting, not mentioning the fire that would follow almost instantly. There would be no sirens, but simply a convoy of black vans and a black military truck showing up to the scene. | |

| Apparently her plan was working, but little did she know, the robot was heading straight into a wall. Being on its back leg, his body hit the brunt of the wall first, and the impact sent her sailing off while they broke through. She hit the ground with a few thuds and skids, before finally skidding to a stop into a man's cubicle, where she'd hear the explosion of the robot from afar. She laid upside down, with her feet hanging over her head, and her back against the man's cubicle. He sat in his chair, listening to music and not even noticing the destruction that had just occurred around him. With a strand of hair falling over her face, she'd blow it with her lips to try and get it out of her face, but it simply fell back onto her. "That was weird.." Picking herself up, she'd crawl back to the opening of the building where the vans pulled up. She narrowed her eyes at the shady group..it was something she would need to look into. [Done] | |
