The Daily Bugle

Senator Hines has revealed how mutants will be handled: Sentinels.

A rumor traveled the circles of the supernatural. Mutants heard a safe, underground railroad was being started, inquire at the Summit. The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 19, 2012 3:43 pm

Emelie sat next to a large station, that had a sign over head reading, " Washington D.C.'s finest " herself wasn't a cop but she wanted to check the place out. A couple of squad cars were road up on the streets, across from the place. This was one of the small local stations, in the rich side of D.C. Emelie was placed on the wall of the station tapping her foot against the ground. A few officers looked at her but would still move up the steps to the entrenece of the station. She had been there a while and nothing of note was happening, her acutally reason for being here, was to look at and find bad guys.

She hoped she see someone of interesting. So far no luck just a couple of men. She'd been sitting out there all day. Night was still a shade of time away, but it was odd for her to parked there for so long, maybe a cop would say something to her. So far noone said anything to her. She was still in her booty shortts along with her black turtle neck sweater, the nikes she wore, had scuff marks, due to the whiteness. She was irrated by that but honestly could careless. The world to her was still quite new and her hearing of crimnals interested her into what kind of people they were. So far they looked like everyone else, nobody special had came by. It was disappointing to her. But it didn't matter she guessed.

She had plenty of time on her hands, even with the whole mutant thing going on. She herself wasn't sure at all of what it exactly was, but had some understanding. She was told people with powers would be rounded up and killed or something. She was glad she didn't have any powers, so she didn't have anything to worrie about. So she could be care free and relax in on the wall, she started to doze off, as her body leaned on the wall. Her lids kept dropping and she shrugged a little more on the wall. She readjusted herself on the wall. If it weren't for the buzz of a car roaring on, she most likely would have fell asleep.

She wasn't the most awake person right now, even though she had slept in a hotel the day before. Just staring at people and watching them as they went in was tiring, well more mentally boring. The whole day had been a bore with it being 4 pm, she was deciding on what to do, the amount of people on the streets had died down a bit, maybe go into a store. For right now she stood on the wall a little long slowly dozing off, with her mind coming to a calm halt.

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 26, 2012 12:53 am

The trip down to DC hadn’t been that bad. Samael had ‘arranged’ for a first class train ticket earlier that day – meaning he had found himself a sinner and appropriated the man’s ticket. The trip had only taken a few hours and he had passed the time reading as well as looking for other targets in the snack car. Luckily he hadn’t found any worth noting.

Upon his arrival he got his rental car and checked into a somewhat nice hotel uptown close to his target destination. After showering and changing he left his hotel room to do a little exploring. He wore grey jeans that fit him nicely and a matching plain grey tshirt along with his trademark white leather jacket and a goth-chic rosary around his neck that was mostly hidden.

He wandered the sidewalks, dark eyes glancing over those he met with an appraising stare. Tonight held big possibilities and the event he planned to attend would be full of sinners. Many of them. If he played his cards right and if he rooted out the right ones, he might make a big difference tonight.

As he wandered, he saw in the distance the familiar signs of a police station. He could practically smell the stink of it from here. The criminals. Prostitutes. The corrupt cops. Maybe he’d find something here, something to distract him before the big event tonight. His eyes scanned the area and he saw a woman leaning against the wall. His mind ran through the possibilities and he assumed she was probably waiting on her boyfriend to get out, maybe he was in the drunk tank or held overnight, or any other number of possibilities. Maybe he was a drug dealer, or a junkie. A sinner. Maybe she’d tell Samael if he asked nicely.

He hid his smile as he approached, simply walking down the sidewalk in that direct. As he drew up to where she leaned against the wall he glanced from her to the station and back. “Are you waiting for someone? Seems an odd place to doze off,” he said, his voice smooth.

PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 26, 2012 2:23 am

"Huh?" Emelie yelped, she jumped a bit dropping a rock that she had played with before dozing off. Her vision focused in on a a odd looking guy, standing in front of her, his hair and body looked strong and he looked extremely fit, not that Emelie didn't look extremely well muscled, this guy was male ripped, while Emelie only had a very tone muscle. He was ripped, but not huge like Arnold, he was kinda cute, but she wasn't particularly into men. She found herself attracted to the more weak and girly looking gender, men really just weren't her fancy, they were nice. But there just something about a women to her. She couldn't explain it.

Finally his words began to flood into her mind after she anazlyed him, she realized that he was asking about her, this made her blush a bit. If he was really paying attention he'd notice, which hopefully wouldn't give him any misleading, but she wasn't too sure about the male species, thats all she had really talked too on the planet. They seemed nice, well infact all the ones she had meet had been quite nice too her. Even deep in her it was kinda a disappointing it was just another man, but no matter, this guy had said something she realized and need to respond. She'd tell complete honestly like she naviely normally did.

"Oh helllooo, no waiting, I wanna see the evil cool bad guys!" she spoke like an excited kid. "So far all I have seen is a bunch of boring normal people, no cool mutant thingys or anything." she said. A nearby cop overheard what was said, he kinda stoped going up the stairs and leaned over the railing and wanted to hear what was going on, the cop listened but didn't say anything, Emelie didn't even notice him, as she twiddled her thumbs around and staired at the ground, making her obvious to the cop. The man spoke back, but she was quite focused in on the ground now, the guy kind of embarrassed her. It kind of cause her to shut down, no one had asked her question before.

The people she had met only told her what to do and yelled at her, calling her stupid. A medic was kinda of nice to her, but he left as soon as he had a chance. No one seemed to care about what she was doing or anything. This was a first, the other guys were really nice to her, but seemed to care only for helping her get along, not acutally about herself. It was kind of nice for someone to ask her what she was doing and why, it was sweet. Maybe the guy was just there to mess around, but she didn't have any of those thoughts, her naiveness really had been getting the best of her lately.

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 26, 2012 3:08 am

Samael’s eyes watched the girl curiously, eyebrows raising slightly as she seemed to jump right off the wall in surprise. Apparently she had been dozing off, or was just easily frightened. This seemed like an odd place to be either way.

He noticed the girl’s blush easily, and he wasn’t entirely surprised. Sinful little things, these women who dated criminals. Usually just as bad as the men, only rarely held as accountable it seemed. Or maybe that was just his perception.

His eyebrows rose again, watching calmly as the excited girl exclaimed her desire to see the cool evil bad guys. That seemed…. Odd. Was she like them, then? Was she looking for other sinners to fornicate with? Or do drugs? Steal? There was something strange about it all. She looked the part.. but the way she spoke and her excitement level were rather innocent, like she was playing at a game almost.

But the cop had to come along and stick his nose where it didn’t belong, obviously watching the girl now to see if she was a troublemaker. Or maybe it was the way she’d practically shouted out MUTANT for the whole world to hear. That was still a touchy word these days. Either way, Samael didn’t want the cop here.

Samael’s gaze flickered to the cop again, “We’re just having a little conversation here, officer. Nothing to worry about.” It was accompanied by a slight undetectable (by most at least) mental push and the cop just gave a friendly nod and turned to go inside.

Then Samael looked back to the young woman, “Seen many mutants then, have you? And what, pray tell, does a mutant look like?” He gave a small chuckle, “And why would someone like yourself be looking for them? I imagine they’d be nothing but trouble.”

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 26, 2012 3:34 am

The pudgey officer began to walk off and head inside, for whatever reason. Emelie had wasn't aware of him until the man alerted her of the cop who was just watching what was going on, he took himself and his coffee and donaut inside the station. She looked a bit oddly at the cop, almost giving the cop snare. One could almost think she hissed at the officer as he walked up the step into the station. Emelie now directed her eyes back towards the ground staring deeply into the ground...seeing nothing, the cop was gone, but now Emelie felt out of place and in the wrong. The man didn't really make her feel uncomfortable the feeling was caused by the cop, she now felt as if everything was watching her every move as if anything she did would harm her. It was a silly sense, but you could tell by her moving and shaking a bit.

She sat there staring at the ground for what seems liked hour, but really only a couple of seconds, her peace and attempt at trying to crawl deep into a hole had failed. The man spoke again, she slightly motioned her head towards him, but kept looking at the ground in depressed kind of way. The mans words did somewhat pierce her mind, but not much at all. She would give a another awkward pause before she spoke. She wasn't collecting her thoughts or anything she was just sitting there in her own self wallow. The guy embarrassed her and know she thinks people are watching over her, she was a little frantic. She was still manageable but kinda breathing with short breaths, for no real reason, they were quite. Not noticable by anyone person, unless they were really paying attention to her.

Emelie, finally tilted her head up a bit, her neck felt a bit of release from the clamp of her looking down with such intent. She was still stairing at the ground although her eyes drifted further towards the street, that was still hustling and moving with life. She stuttered a bit at first before speaking " Iiii don't thinkkk we should talk here...it could be dangerrousss. I don't want badd stufff ttttto hhhappen." she kicked the ground with one leg after she finished speaking. Her entire attuided changed after the cop was told to shove off, by the man. She now felt insecure and very nervous. Her cheery and naive self had melted away and turned her into a scared cat. Sputter and clunking and shaking in fear. Its quite odd for something so silly to scare a normal person, especially her. It was just the odd situation that made her now feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Maybe it was her body forcing her to forget the things that happened. A way to compensated for her previous self had many dealings with the police, was to make her feel scared and shakey. Instead of a violent out burst the old Emelie would have caused.

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 26, 2012 4:12 am

This girl was just acting more and more odd and it was making Samael a little uneasy, though he didn’t show it. She just kind of stared at the ground and wouldn’t meet his gaze, which was odd because Samael wasn’t even being his intimidating self – this was more the friendly face. So why was she like this?

When she spoke, she had a small stutter, which seemed out of place, but then again maybe that was why she was so awkward. But she said nothing about what he had asked, about mutants, only said she wanted to talk elsewhere. Samael’s eyes slid casually left, then right, glancing up both sides of the street looking for trouble. Was this a trap? Did one of the demons know he would be here? But no, she was too… Well, she just didn’t seem the type.

Then he focused back on the girl, eyeing her curiously. “So where is it you think we should talk then?” he asked. Perhaps the girl needed to confess. He smiled slightly at the thought. Maybe she was wicked. Or maybe she needed help and that was why she was at the police station and was just too afraid to go in. Either way, Samael just smiled and nodded, “Let’s take a short walk then, hmm?”

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyWed Dec 26, 2012 10:50 pm

Emelie, waited for him to say something in response when he did, she kinda of felt relived at the fact that we was willing to move for her. It was kinda of nice, but he could have alter motives. In Emelies mind that was the furthest thing from her mind. She nodded her head, twisting her lips in a cute manner, and moved her arm around his locking there elbows together, she'd look up at him every now and then at him giving him a slight smile. She didn't even have that cross her mind, she just simply smiled and started to skip forward away from the building, she wasn't doing the leading. But for her she just skipped marryily along with the man. "That place just, ugghh...made me feel so weird I am glad its behind us now!" she said. They walked down the streets for a few short moments.

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyThu Dec 27, 2012 3:23 am

Samael continued to watch the girl somewhat curiously. Her personality seemed so out of place here yet her looks in some ways blended in, at least blended in with being near a police station – he wasn’t so sure they blended in with being in the nicer part of town even if she was dressed nice. Not that she wasn’t pretty, it just wasn’t… rich?

She moved to put her arm around his and he quickly moved to disentangle them, moving apart until they were no longer touching. She was definitely an evil, wicked woman. She wasn’t going to get anywhere with him, that was for sure. But he still wanted to find out exactly why this seemed so out of place, so instead Samael gave her an apologetic smile and shrugged, “Sorry, I just don’t touch often.” Even when he punished the wicked he didn’t touch. His powers covered that.

“Why exactly did the station make you feel weird?” he asked, “And I don’t think I got your name. You can call me Sam.”

PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyThu Dec 27, 2012 3:18 pm

The man moved away from her and her gesture to lock arms. She was kinda of disapointed at this. The guy though seemed to try and appolgize for his rudeness? Emelie could have cared but she just shurggered her shoulders and kept walking with him, not really caring for his action. As they walked nothing of consequence was happening, just and average day. Emelie began to move further and further away from him, still walking in the same direction. Just moving a distance away from him. She smiled at a few men who walked by her, one in particular looked at her. Emelie just smiled at the man as he stared at her. Breaking her concentration on the man walking by, who was now behind her was the other mans voice. He proclaimed himself to be Sam and even asked her why she disliked the station so much. "I don't like it because, I don't know. I don't know anything" she almost started to tear up, she covered her face with her hands. The other man kept walking, but he quickly made a call and talking to someone, "I found her, let the boss know."

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptyThu Dec 27, 2012 6:17 pm

Samael walked along with the girl, noticing that she was a bit quiet. Apparently she was also a bit offended because the girl seemed to edge away from him slightly. Typical, the pretty ones never took it well when they were rejected and often seemed to believe they had some sort of right to do whatever they wanted. He watched as she seemed to wander, making eye contact with various men.

Maybe she was a prostitute and had figured out that Samael wasn’t going to pay and was looking for a new john? That didn’t make sense with her having been standing outside a police station though. Not a prostitute then? She didn’t look dead in the eyes enough, God knows he’s seen enough in his travels.

As she answered one of his questions and ignored the other, Samael found her reaction… odd. But he was distracted by the man’s voice behind them and he glanced over his should, noting the way the guy had been staring. Samael looked back to Emelie and gave a tiny nod behind them towards the guy on the cell phone, “You know that guy?”

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptySat Dec 29, 2012 3:05 am

They had kept walking until Sam noticed something odd about the man, Emelie thought nothing of it. But Sam seemed to pick up on it, she was obvious to what was going on. Sam injected in the dead silence that had persisted for quite sometime. He asked in a odd yet elegant format. "Know him, no clue who that guy is" she said with a slight smile. The man behind her who had previously been talking to a man on the phone now began to walk up behind them. He quicked his pace, Emelie payed no mind towards the man. He seemed to pay a lot of mind to her, "Emelie your coming with me" he shouted the voice had a strange accent to it, Swedish in fact.

Emelie kept walking forward as if nothing had been said, she didn't even know he was talking to her. She kept walking, any other person could clearly note that he was directing this at her. As he kept following them saying Emelie! HEy Emelie and things like that. By now he'd been fed up with her ignoring him, his hands began to get kinda of clamy. When you here what this woman has done to people, you outta be scared of her. Even though he was apart of her older brother gang. He was still terrified of her, not to mention she is supposed to be dead. The stories told about her made the most men in the Swedish gang piss there pants, much less acutally be near her. But this man was feed up with her and without thinking he reached and grabbed her shoulder trying to move her towards him. The mans face was completely white after realizing what he just did, you could only see pure terror in his face. He even winced when he grabbed. All Emelie did although was turn around and smile at the man "What'd you need?"

PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptySat Dec 29, 2012 5:45 am

The girl stated she didn’t know who the guy was, which was odd because he seemed to know who she was. Still, the pair of them kept walking for a bit and Sam glanced over his shoulder again, noticing the guy had turned and started following them. That wasn’t a good sign.

The man shouted several times towards them, calling the girl Emelie. Was that even her name? Sam had asked but he never got an answer before this happened.

The man was obviously calling for her, that much was obvious now. But she was pretending (or seemed to be pretending at least) that she didn’t even realize it. Surely even if that wasn’t her name, the girl would know the man was talking to her and not someone else, right? There was no other explanation.

But then the man took it a step too far and he reached out, grabbing Emelie roughly by the arm, who spun around and seemed to… smile? At the man. That’s certainly an odd reaction, did she know him after all?

Sam turned and stared at the man as well, arms crossed, “I’m not sure what you think you’re doing, man, but there’s a police station about 2 blocks that way and you got about 5 seconds to get your hand off her before I call them.” Samael couldn’t punish the man himself, not here. Too obvious, too dangerous.

A Slow Day at The Station Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Slow Day at The Station   A Slow Day at The Station EmptySat Dec 29, 2012 7:52 pm

The man grip was light, nothing to tight but it still made her feel a bit of pain. Although the pain didn't show, but the mans fear of her did. After hearing her say that, he was taken a back, wasn't she supposed to be worse then the devil? Why was she seemingly so nice, the smile looked pure of heart and quite kind. The mans surprise was broken by the other man breaking the blank stares. "LLlListen man, you don't know who your dealing with here, Emelie is one bad mamajama not to mention her connections. Jjjjjust let her come with me, no problems will be afforded. Seriously you don't wanna die do you? Just let her come with me, man. There are some powerful people lookinggg for her." he said in a shattered sort of way. His tone wasn't meant to be insulting nor was it meant to seem harsh at all, by what he said although it could be taken very poorly.

Emelie herself skrunched her noise at him, not realy sure who he was talking about. She waited for her 'bodyguard' aka Sam. To responded to the man, she herself would quickly mop up with "Who's Emelie?" she said with a blank stare. She fiddled a bit with her outfit wondering what the man meant by come with me Emelie and all that nonsense, she herself was now throughly confused through all this. She sat there waiting for the man to say something.

This whole situation was kind of surreal – more than a little bit odd and it was getting stranger by the minute. Samael watched as the girl just kind of smiled at the guy, acting all friendly, even as the guy held onto her. The guy started spouting off about Samael not knowing who she was and stuff. Not wanting to die? This sounded…. Odd.

The girl then asked who Emelie was, which answered that question – obviously it wasn’t her. So instead he looked at the guy, “Look, you obviously have the wrong person, right? She doesn’t even know who Emelie is so maybe you should take your hands off her before you get in trouble, right?”

The man face looked at Sam like he was an idiot, "Look buddie, I know its her. She 6'0 black hair, red eyes. Thats her, how many women you know that are 6'0? Its her, she matches the description. If this isn't her then who is she?" he said. Emelie began to walk away from the men, she saw something down an alley and she began to move forward towards it. Trying to find out what it was, she kept pressing forward trying to find out what was over there.

The two men were still most likely arguing as neither really were concentrating on her, more on each other as they argued. She herself slipped away into the alley, trying to find anything downwards in the alley. So far nothing but useless dribble, trash cans and various other things in dark alley ways. She had heard a noise and was wondering what it was, she kept pressing until she found a group of small men fighting each other. It was 3 v 3, she wasn't sure what they were fighting over but they kept punching and kicking at slinging each other into various objects. It seemed as if they were quite a odd group, to fight but Emelie watched, as the others bored her. Even if they did notice her leave she'd ignore them. The man would be to concentrated on arguing with Sam to notice unless he did. IF so he'd make another quick call and follow them down the alley way.

Samael frowned at the man as the man started going on about he was sure it was her, purely going off her description. That wasn’t exactly proof that she was the one he was looking for, since the dude was standing right here he could be naming off her description just by looking at her. That didn’t prove that she was the one he was actually looking for.

“Look, buddy, its obvious she has no clue who you are, so why don’t you leave her alone before the police just over there get involved, right?” Samael said. He was so tempted to take action himself, but… It would be dangerous in a place like this. If he was found out, he had no way to get away, or really protect himself from the authorities.

“Trust me man, it is her,” the guy said in response, “You don’t know what you’re dealing with!”

Samael glared at the man, “Clearly you are the one who doesn’t know what he is dealing with. If you know what is good for you, you will leave. Now.”

The man really wouldn’t have any choice in the matter at that point, thanks to a mental nudge from Samael. Samael then turned to look at the girl… who was gone. “Hey!” he called out, looking around, “Where’d you go?”

Samael slowly spun in a circle, looking for her and not seeing her anywhere. “Hey!” he called again. Had he lost her already?

Both the men had lost her and had no clue where she had gone off to. She'd scappered off to see a brawl. Which promptly ended upon her arrival, the men scattered for what ever reason and left Emelie to leave the area and she kept wondering the area. Trying to find the other man she never would, at least on that day.
