The Daily Bugle

Senator Hines has revealed how mutants will be handled: Sentinels.

A rumor traveled the circles of the supernatural. Mutants heard a safe, underground railroad was being started, inquire at the Summit. The beyond sought the strange power said to rest at the Summit of New York City. The gossip flitted amongst the rest: valuable information was to come to light when dawn broke over the Summit.

"Seeking to forget makes exile all the longer; the secret of redemption lies in remembrance." - Richard von Weizsaecker

The Sinister Thought 1456560-1426594_010_super_super

The day the child lost his parents was the day he lost himself. His very soul was buried with their corpses, and with that he'd go through a transformation. The child that sought his parents approval would grow into a man that sought the approval of no one. Instead, he believed the world needed to prove to him while it should even be allowed to continue. Streets were like a cesspool; wretched and smothered in wasted potential and filth. As the child grew into a man, he honed himself for the harsh realities of this world. He placed himself in a different category than the rest, ultimately leading to his nihilism when dealing with the rest of society. Every action. Every decision he would make, would be pointless. It would only be a small stain in their world, and nothing would change. To truly open eyes, one would have to become an evil they could relate too. After all, he was the antagonist to society. To be such a Faceless symbol, he would need to become much more than a man. He'd need to become a symbol of power. No matter the amount of training he would press himself through, the greatest power came through politics and not brute strength.

The submarine traveled up and down the East Coast, floating through trenches and keeping more than six miles from the shoreline. The Faceless one sat in his chair, watching the sonar while twirling a blade in the palm of his hand. The mask blocked out any expression from the man, but it was obvious he was getting slightly impatient over a matter. However, this impatience would soon end as Quiz would turn to him from her own chair with a thumbs up. "Alright, they're in DC. This should get the attention of the big wigs." The young woman would turn back towards the monitors infront of her as Faceless would stand and sheath his blade. "Good." A one word answer before he'd turn towards the members of his cult working their separate consoles. "Prepare to place the vibration charges within the trenches." The brainwashed cult would bow to their leader as the Dark Sting would be sitting in a far chair watching the scene. "What charges were those? I didn't see them on the party list." A blunt question. The Faceless one would turn her way while sitting back in his chair. "Did you really expect me to hand over a global weapon to a German who simply wants to use it to spark war? What he has is a minuscule amount of its power. I, on the other hand, was sure to take the emitter and its entirety, sister. The good Führer can spark his war. I'll even supply him with the resources to stake a heavy attack against the states...But in the end it won't matter. The 'message' will be sent. Now enough. I believe you and Saboteur are needed in DC aswell?" The woman's eyes would narrow towards the man as she'd push herself up from her seat. He obviously wasn't telling her everything, making her even more suspicious of what he planned to do towards the end of this. Was it worth the payday he had promised her when they met? Whatever it was, she surely wouldn't be giving her life for the cause. No amount of money was worth death.

Sting would leave the room and close the metallic door behind her with a slam. This made the young Quizzionaire jump, but Nameless simply continued to stare forward without flinching. "I know what you plan to do, Faceless. Is it really worth it? Giving up all you have just to send a "message"?" Of course she knew his plan. With those pills of hers she probably knew everything. The masked man would raise his arms and fold his hands together beneath his chin. "It's necessary. And I'm interested in seeing what they do in their final hour. I suspect you plan on staying on the ship when the countdown begins?" The girl would nod and turn towards the monitors. "Well, one of the six have to survive to tell the story, no?" And for once, this comment made the masked man chuckle under his breath. "I suppose so."
